Progresso is the go to for soups. The Minestrone is my favorite. After a long day at work I will have a bowl with some freshly grated Parmesan cheese and some toasted bread. It is a very satisfying meal. Try it. It's happiness in a can. Reviewed by a happy WM Associate.
My boyfriend loves this. He would prefer the low sodium but hard to find it. Also he prefers the hearty minestroni, but hard to find it so he eats the Progresso Minestrone Soup version. Much healthier than Campbells and taste better than Amy's. Her frozen food is good but her soups suck.
This is one of my favorite Progresso soups and I always keep some in the cabinet just for a time when I'm unsure what I'm having for supper, this always turns out to be a good choice. It has good texture the vegetables and the pasta in it are good. Great as a meal with some crackers and cheese.
Love Progresso soups, for a quick lunch or dinner! They are definitely a step above your regular, watered down canned soups. The flavor is wonderful, and this minestrone I sometimes throw in some leftover chicken or beef and it really adds to the heartiness! I like all of the Progresso soups I've tried!
Only a few Progresso soups are dull, or not what I like for taste, but this is good. This is a good brand for good soups. Flavorful without being heavy. While I typically share a can with another family member, I wish they made half-can sizes for a meal for one. A full can is too much for 1 person, but Progresso takes so good that I rarely can stop eating the whole can. For 2 people, 1 can split between them, and half a sandwich makes a good meal. For 1 person, 1 can is a bit much for a meal, but it's tasty, so I'll just have to force myself to eat it all (wink wink). Will buy again. Stays on my wish list.
This is very good soup for lunch or dinner. I wish it had more veggies in it. Taste very Italian and my wife is Italian and she gives a thumbs up. It's a good price but it needs a little bit more ingredients and it would be super good.
This is great tasting And was a good value for the money. At $1.98 a can Walmart had dropped the price to dollar 98 a can and then raise the price to 2.68. Which is well above what they were charging before they dropped it to $1.98.. so much for great value
This review is from a soup lover of all kinds from canned to homemade. i had some dental work done so i was on a soft diet for a while. i purchased all different varieties to try. The only one That i didn't vare for was yhe Minestrone soup. First of all there was no substance to speak of. The minimal amount of vegies that was in the soup was hard as a rock or very under cooked. Although I like some firmness in the vegetables, these were far beyond the firness, I even. tried to mash them with a fork, these wouldn't . Just thought you would like to know. Been eating Progresso soups for a long time.i
Unlike other Progresso soups with soggy vegetables, the garbanzo beans, or, chicken peas, are hard and under cooked. Likewise, the same applies to the green peas.
I like minestrone soup but was very disappointed in this brand. They usually have good soups but this one was definitely a waste of money. Listed as one of the ingredients was dried peas which is fine if they were done but these were raw %26 hard. I had to spit out every one. I won't be buying this soup again. Hopefully Walmart will get another brand of minestrone soup or else I'll wait %26 order it from an Italian restaurant instead.
