I originally started buying these Pitmaster soups when they had a fifty cent Walmart cash promotion. They are one of my goto soups now because they are both hearty and great tasting. If you're hankering for soup on these cold winter days, try this. I'm sure you will like it as much as I do.
I was looking for easy prep items for lunch %26 dinner, saw this new soup, saw it was high in protein %26 bought it. Great choice, very flavorful %26 satisfying. A full meal in a can for a good price.
There was definitely a smokey taste. Not bad at all. I'm impressed. Tasted very good too. I remember thinking it was worth buying. It's strange to say I miss it, lol.
I tried the Progresso Pitmaster soup for the first time yesterday and was so impressed with the flavor of sausage and beer cheese soup that I had to try the grilled chicken with potatoes and vegetables today and to my delight, it did not disappoint. It was just as delicious. Can't wait to try the next flavor. Definitely recommend
Of all the PITMASTER soups, this is my favorite. It is robust and fresh tasting. With a definite Southwest flair without the extreme heat. I had a surprise visitor for lunch and added a can of white beans with NO loss of flavor. BUY THIS!
The price is not justified because there is not enough solid ingredients. It is pretty spicy, more so than the label implies. The meat is the usual chopped blocks of compressed meat with uniform texture. One would expect this to have shredded unaltered meat. I added some diced potato to fill it out and served with those great little GV oyster crackers. Cooked rice or corn kernels would also work, there were about four corn kernels in my can and more would be welcome. I especially do not like the foiled can wrapper that can not be recycled.
The soup was very thin/watery. And every ingredient (carrots, chicken, potatoes) was cut so small, it was almost diced. and over cooked. like mush. The chicken was cut into small flat rectangles, a little shorter then a piece of Trident gum. The packaging and lable advertisement made it look amazing. i mean i ordered 1 can to be delivered when i saw it on-line, and I've never done something like that before. The Can top was high quality. Good strong can 🤭. But what really surprised me was when i went to taste it out of the can,. I just grabbed a fork from the dish drainer real quick and dug down deep into the can to grab as many chunks of ingredients as i could fit on that fork, cause I KNEW, this was gonna be a new favorite. And the fork came up clean😶. Just a wet fork , no chunks. It all fell through the cracks of the fork. IT TASTED GREAT THOUGH 😋 I know I just talked a lot of smack about this soup, but i am gonna RECOMMEND IT, because the price , flavor, and amount was A1. I GRILLED UP LIKE 3 CHICKEN BREASTS, %26 CUT THEM INTO 1/2" CHUNKS, %26 MIXED IT INTO THE SOUP. ENOUGH FOR 2 BIG BOWLS OF chunky CHICKEN SOUP
Decent taste. But don't expect a lot of food in the can mostly juice and broth. You can fill up off of one can as long as you got three slices of butter bread to stop up the juices. And is with all the products and as we all know, all the prices is a crazy high.
Recently, I tried a can of Progresso Pitmaster, Grilled Chicken and Potato with Roasted Vegetables Canned Soup. As this product was new to me, I was curious about its flavor and overall quality. Unfortunately, the taste did not meet my expectations. I found it disappointing, which was unexpected given the product’s appealing description. Additionally, I felt that the cost of each can was not justified by the eating experience it provided. Based on my experience, I have decided to stick with my tried and true favorites instead of purchasing this soup again.
While I usually love most Progresso soups, this one was way off the mark. I couldn’t even take more than one spoonful before dumping it down the sink. Now I’m almost afraid to try the sausage, cheese and beer one I bought.
