One of my favorite Progresso soups. Think of it more of a well-seasoned (salty in a good way) potato soup with Italian sausage chunks.
I am personally very fond of the Tuscan soup at the Olive Garden Restaurant. When I tried this I was so tickled to find soup in a can that tasted so much like the soup I had in the restaurant.
this soup flavor is almost impossible to find consistently. Walmart usually has it. it's a flexible soup, add cheese, spice, noodles, whatever you want. i made it into a version or ramen. enjoy!
Great flavor in this soup.
The Italian sausage was way too spicy that I added a glob of sour cream to try and tone it down. It was watery and would have been better if it was creamier. Would not buy again.
6 cans were burst open an dented did get refund bad shipping great soup
This can is badly damaged! The clerks should be told, dented cans should not be sold to customers. I received two damaged items. My Progresso, Italian Sausage and Potato and my Italian Wedding soup.
Just tastes gross, the broth is like slime water, does not taste good and kinda gross texture although not super uncommon with progresso soups, this was just had a pretty gnarly taste. Was expecting something with a bit more savory flavoring, maybe a hint of heat from the sausage, nope, just a dull cheap taste to it.
Rich and hearty? Not even close. This soup was very watery and had these black/green things floating which was very off-putting. The small amount of potatoes in it were good, as was the small amount of Italian sausage. They were both almost nonexistent 🤬 This soup was mostly water and not worth the price.
Lately, I've noticed a big change in Progresso soups and not in a good way. All their soups are starting to taste the same, no matter which flavor I buy. On top of that, they've become surprisingly spicy. It makes no sense why are all your soups now spicy? the rich flavors are gone i now having to add my own seasonings like bouillon or some salt The flavors used to be distinct and comforting, but now everything has this odd spicy aftertaste that throws the whole recipe off. If this is a new formula or seasoning change, it's definitely not working. Progresso needs to go back to the way their soups used to taste, because right now, it's disappointing.
