First of all, I'd like to say I'm not a vegetarian, I selected this because I've been grieving and have absolutely no appetite and needed protein. I hadn't eaten in approximately 18 hours so I opened the soup up, added garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and some cumin microwaved it with a paper plate on top in my soup bowl and then begin after I sat down to consume it. Fortunately, it was very small beans which I love and was so easy to eat. I found myself suddenly having to slow down as I had eaten half of my large soup bowl and had to stop to drink some water as I pulled up my app thinking to myself I need to absolutely recommend this to anybody in my similar position as a mother or any Senior anybody who is grieving or in any position of loss of appetite. this is absolutely perfect even for someone just protein, diet or any sort of thing that needs this intake when I read the app and noticed that it was VEGETARIAN I was more compelled even to write this review as it was so easily consumed and tasty. I felt I had to share this and take time to tell all that would listen as I'm so particular on this minuscule amount of food that I'm taking and so little reviews that I do it's important for those that read this to understand. Thank you. If you've taken the time to read this and please share it for those either just needing protein for whatever purpose have a beautiful day and remember tomorrow is never promised and tell the people you love that you love them because it may be the last time.
I like this soup. I was trying to look on website at the nutrition label. I couldn't make it bigger. When I tried the can kept turning. Very frustrating.
Progresso has always been a name brand for me.l So many good products. This soup is a meal within itself. I eat a large bowl with a cornbread muffin.... YUM good.!
My Mama bought this for herself because she couldn't find the Zesty Santa Fe style. When I saw what was in it I wanted to give it a try. Its exactly as stated on the can's name. But.. I wanted to go a little further when I bought my own. I added some On the Border tortilla chips and heated it in the Microwave for 3 minutes. It turned out great! I first got the idea of trying the tortilla chips when I was on a weight loss program of pre-packaged foods. They had or still might have the Black Bean Tortilla Soup that I have never been able to just buy by itself. It was so good that I thought I could eat it breakfast, lunch, and dinner! It was from NS. Although this flavor of soup from Progresso isn't the same as the other I still like it enough to make it a regular staple in my pantry. Give this one a try. With a brand like Progresso you can never go wrong! Sharina
Out of all the progressive soups, this is the most filling and unlike the others isn't mostly broth. Add a little salt, some sour cream and cheese for a really great meal. I was very impressed by this particular soup and I will continue to get it and definitely.
Lots of beans! Almost a stew and some spice. Love it with grilled cheese or Utz honey twist pretzels!
I love this soup. A lil spice kick to it. I like to stir in some shredded sharp cheddar cheese. The cheese cuts the spice tho. And top with some corn chips. So yummy.
I just tried this for the first time the other week and it was excellent. I went back bought more of it and mix it with some ground beef and made the best chili ever
The picture and description state 100 calories per servings and 210 calories per can. This is incorrect. The cans i received state 140/310 calories, respectively.
This soup is really good. It's the Walmart shoppers who DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SHOP CANNED GOODS!!!! They always show up DENTED at the TOP and/or BOTTOM!!! I'm sick of it!! Why do I even bother paying for Walmart delivery or Walmart when their shoppers are awful!!!
