Progresso is the only soup I will buy because it is so good. I especially love the Split Pea and the Clam Chowder. It's as good as restaurants. I love when it's on sale as I get an assortment and stock up. I love the texture of this soup and the taste. I've tried other soups but none compare.
as usual, very tasty and full of noodles, chicken, and vegetables. i ate this for years but had to stop due to dietary restrictions. just retyrned to it every now and then. it's good right out of the can at room temperature; no need to heat it, especially in hot weather!
Walmart was out of Mom's usual Progresso soup and offered this chicken noodle as a substitute. Mom ate a can and declared it just as good as the Progresso Chicken soup with home-style noodles. The difference I see is that the homestyle noodles are a little larger and a few more of them.
One of the reasons that I like the soup is, it is not overly salted. If you need more salt simply add it and it's real chicken not fabricated. Portion of noodles and vegetables is great. This has to be one of my favorite soups especially my favorite chicken soup throwing a few croutons and you've got a great lunch.
I've bought this soup a bunch of times, and it always hits the spot. The broth has that classic chicken‑noodle flavor without being too salty, and the noodles stay soft without turning mushy. There's a decent amount of chicken in it too — not gourmet or anything, but exactly what you expect from a good canned soup. It's super convenient on days when I don't feel like cooking or when I just want something warm and comforting. Heats up fast, tastes consistent every time, and the 19 oz can is enough to actually fill you up. Overall, it's a solid pantry staple. Nothing fancy, just reliable, cozy, and satisfying.
Nothing beats homemade chicken soup but when that's not possible this soup is welcome on a cold day. Progresso understands this and I remember their ad from decades past.: "Make it Progresso or make it yourself." Anyway it's low calorie, filling and I stock up when it's on sale.
This soup costs 4 times as much at my local supermarket as I purchased it for at Walmart at the time of this review. It's filling, tastes good, and a great value for the money if you can get it for a good price. I do wish the sodium was a little less.
This soup has a better taste to me than Campbell's soup. I used to not buy Progresso because it tasted bland to me, like hospital soup. But they have really upped their game. They have improved the flavor of all their soups and I am enjoying them more.
It didn't look like soup... is this really for humans? I was afraid to eat it all. It smelled like dog food, but my dog refused to eat this soup either.
I ordered the soup along with a lot of other stuff. I'm careful to make sure that I don't get charged shipping charges. I had no idea that that soup did not get delivered to me the first time I knew it was almost 3 or four days later and it was coming from Florida by US mail. I called Wallmart and spoke to somebody. They basically said oh you'll have to deal with the people from the factory where it's coming from. They told me it's already been shipped which that was a week ago. I got it yesterday. I paid almost 19 or $18 for two cans of soup. It's ridiculous. There's a glitch in your system. I had some medical issues and I was using the calling ordering Pick Up outside, but there was a couple of glitches and this is the worst one part of the problem I think is that you send some emails concerning the One order people don't get to look down that close. If you would've sent me an email that said big bowl letters we don't have this in stock we're gonna get it from across the country ship it here I would've told you to forget it. I think it was abuse and the person I spoke to Wallmart didn't care either
