Bought Progresso Chicken Broth, Classic, Gluten Free, 32 oz for a simple soup, but it turned into the hero of my entire summer kitchen saga. One carton turned into multiple meals, and every dish tasted like it had a full storyline behind it. Chicken soup, rice, even random leftovers suddenly felt like gourmet creations. The final boss in this story? Trying not to use the whole carton in one sitting because everything tastes better with it. Would absolutely keep this stocked like emergency supplies for flavor emergencies.
This was easy to use in my recipe and made dinner much tastier. Even the nutrition facts being available also helped as far as any additives and especially when Canning left over bra to be used in a later date. I will definitely use this again as a base in a recipe and I'm thankful it's easily available at the store.
I like this Chicken Broth. I am allergic to onions and celery so, I have to find Broth's that do NOT contain these ingrediients. The only negative for me was, it wasn't salty enough. So I added a ittle Better Than Bouillon to it and then it was great.
Oh this broth is much beefier and more divine than inferior brands of broth. The salt content is superior and I will never be able to use another off brand of broth, beef or otherwise. I never knew what I was missing out on until I discovered Progresso broth. The easy use of the container that perfectly holds the liquid was far simpler than others as well because of the screw cap size being slightly larger than the comparable brands. Overall, I will likely buy this item again and possibly even consider buying this for friends and family for Christmas and birthdays.
Progresso broth is the ONLY broth I use - whether chicken or beef! My husband knows, if we stop to buy some and and the store in question doesn't have any, we go to another store!!! It is wonderfully flavored, rich, and not at all salty! And a BARGAIN - I am always amazed at the cost! It's often on sale, but even at regular price, it's usually much lower than the more inferior brands. It is the BEST!!
Great broth as a starting point for soups, stews and gravies. It has a bit more chicken flavor than similar products. I akways use the reduced sodium broth because it allows more flexibility in seasoning. Whan making a full-flavored chicken soup, I will cook noodles separately in this broth and combine the soup and noodles at the table.
You can always get the namebrand Campbell's for the soups, but I don't mind using the over the name brand of the store like great value and I usually try and buy anything that I can get is usually as good as the store brands so try try the store brand product you saved dollars I meant you can get more groceries
I don't personally care for the taste of this broth as much as others I've used that are more 'stock' products, which I know are different. Chicken stock seems to have a lot more flavor than chicken broth, which makes sense. Although this product wouldn't be something I would typically use, I think that's more a matter of taste. Some people would prefer the taste of this broth, I'm sure.
My teenage sons love the taste, but servings are small, so they want to eat more than one in a sitting, and the sugar is high. Instead I have been buying vanilla protein yogurt cups and adding something sweet/crunchy (that I can control) to it for them.
I bought this because I thought Progresso made quality products. I was sadly disappointed. If I had wanted bouillon, which actually can kinda smell like chicken broth I would have used it. No good chicken smell or flavor in this box!
