Good beginner set for younger kids(9-11) for learning how to do scientific experiments. If you are looking for advanced scientific experiments, this is not the product for you, but younger kids will have hours of fun doing basic experiments that will enrich their minds. Good overall toy.
My Grand Daughter asked for this for her birthday. She was not disappointed.
So fun! So awesome. My son was in heaven with this kit and it literally zips up to close. Fantastic. Completely worth the money and I would buy it for anyone.
ordered online, was surprised at how large the item was, feel like I got a good value
Bought this lab kit for granddaughter's birthday. She has enjoyed doing the experiments. To do the experiments, you need many items some found around the house. We found a list of items that would be useful to start her experiments online. There were 35 items plus the type watch batteries(LR44) needed to use/light the microscope. I could not find the size watch batteries in 3 stores. I ordered the batteries online. Giving the batteries plus some of the 35 items along with the lab kit made her immediate enjoyment of the kit much better. She was able to start experimenting on that day.
This was a birthday present for my 7YRO granddaughter and she played with it all morning. She had seen it on TV and told me about it. WalMart offered it for considerably less than another marketplace. The item is as described. Love that all parts are pictured, labeled, described and the instructions are clear and simple, requiring basic household ingredients. Microscope maybe a bit too small, but if there's a big enough interest, we'll get her a bigger 'n better one sometime. Great purchase! Thanks WalMart!
Did not notice that microscope needed batteries until after purchase. Since they were each size I had no extra on had an had to go buy some. Over all the little scientist loved it. Experiments included are easy.
I purchased this for my 10yr old daughter. She hasn't played with her own yet but has played with her cousin kit. She loves it. Walmart needs to work on their shipping methods. The kit was shipped to me in a box that gave away what was inside. Luckily I was able to save the element of surprise.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She loved playing with it but I didn't have a lot of the ingredents needed for the experiments. It is now March and she only played with it about five since we bought it even though I bought her all the ingredients. Also for $40 you would think the microscope would come with batteries, I had to buy watch batteries for it which are not cheap.
