My wife is happy with this vacuum.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my 2.0 backpack vacuum for a few months now. And I love it more all the time. Being a very long haired cocker spaniel owner, I had not found any other machine that had the power to keep up with the hair. My Prolux does and even more. It's easy to operate and to clean up when the work time is complete. Living out in the country with lots of dust and trees, there is plenty of power for this as well! So, thank you for a great helping machine! Dona from Enumclaw, WA
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The canister vacuum has plenty of suction and is light weight. The attachments are easy to swap out. The pet upholstery attachment works great on stairs and furniture. Cleaning out the dirt holding tank is easy. The vacuum is a time saver.
All attachments work well and are heavy duty. The unit is easy to clean. Backpack is heavy duty and comfortable. Fifty foot cord is heavy duty and allows cleaning a large area quickly without having to move cord to another outlet. Pro's: 1. Great suction 2. Comfortable to use, including on stairs 3. Very quickly vacuum a large area 4. Heavy duty long cord 5. Easy to clean filters 6. Good design, quality construction Con's: 1. Backpack can hit something when turning around in tight places. 2. Not good for small area for quick touch-up - takes time to strap on and get power and attachment connected 3. Power switch is a bit awkward to find when unit is strapped on back. 4. Belt and backpack have areas to hold attachments, but these are awkward to use with unit strapped on back. 5. 50' heavy duty cord is a bit too long to fit when coiled around both hooks. We just hang it from top hook. 6. User manual could be more thorough. We only have hard floors, don't have powered head, so we can't attest to effectiveness on carpet. Overall, I highly recommend this vacuum for large areas and hard floors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the commercial prolux back pack vacuum for years for my cleaning business. It's so handy having the backpack and almost weightless. Unbeatable suction and amazing warranty. Very happy with this machine
We've had these vacuums for about 2 years. They run strong and get the job done, strong suction and simple to use. Easy to empty and the filters can be washed. We really like the return on investment. The only thing I would make sure of is to secure the cord to the waist belt after plugging it into the extension cord. If you step on the cord, the wires can be yanked out of their connections in the unit. We returned a couple of the units twice because they would stop working. But we finally figured out the issue and when it happens, I can fix it. You unscrew the back to gain access to the on/off switch and simply plug the wires back in, 20 minute fix. I think the wires in the machine should have been longer to prevent this which is why it gets 4 stars not 5. But securing the cord before starting prevents the issue. Great Vacs was fantastic to deal with when we were returning the units, they have always been top notch on customer service.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Prolux 2.0 Bagless Backpack Canister Vacuum about 5 months ago to bring with me to my cleaning job where I vacuum the common areas of 15 different apartment buildings on a weekly basis. Having to push a regular vacuum through all that plus carry it with me to the next building was really slowing me down and frustrating. The backpack vacuum really has been the better tool for the job. I also use it at home to clean up after two large dogs that shed a lot and five children. I have never owned a backpack vacuum before so I can't really compare to others but this works well for me. The canister is large enough to get through quite a bit of the job before I have to empty it and the stick extension for the hose is so lightweight compared to my push vacuum. The padding over the shoulders and around the waist is comfortable enough to be able to wear for the duration of my jobs, about 2-3 hours at a time - I've never had to take it off due to being uncomfortable. There is a clip across the chest and one at the waist which helps to distribute the weight very well. Overall, I really like this vacuum.
I love the backpack vacuum. The dislikes are it doesn't seem to have suction in a commercial environment on carpets. It has stronger suction when there are no attachments on. So you have to continuously go over the same spot. My shark professional vacuum had better suction.
Bought 2 vacuums, they both work fine. Both were open box. But both came with parts missing. First one came without the EZ glide floor tool and the second came without an extension cord. Not sure if these "open box" vacuums are supposed to be incomplete but the website lists these things as accessories that should come in the box.
