These are just like I used when I was a kid. Super easy to use

I used it for 5 days and it does close quickly to keep the crabs in. It's very easy to use

works great, and easy to catch and light enough to pull up crabs. good value.

It may not catch as much crab as crab pot but this makes it a lot more fun to catch crab. Its easy to use right out of the packaging.

These traps are a good design, but they are not well made. With just a few easy tricks they could be made easier to use and less likely to tangle or come apart. There is room for improvement where the lines come together, the string is too thin to last, and the rings that hold the panels would be improved by adding more or at least 2 rings per side to keep them front getting twisted or bent to easily. We have used them twice, but they are in the shed for improvements now.

While the Promar star crab trap is built decently, the ruggedness and resilience of the trap leaves the user longing for better construction and stronger materials. I think the trap is okay, but we had a more sturdy and well-built pyramid trap about 20 years ago. It rusted out, and was unusable after a few years of saltwater damage and wear. However, this trap in consideration seems a bit less sturdy, the ropes twist around easily and limit the opening and closing of the trap, and the springs are not very sturdy. However, we are not as serious a crabbing family as before, so we welcome the minimal constructed traps and are grateful that they cost as much as they did.

It picks up tons of seaweed every single time because of many seams of wires.

Doesn't work. Won't open on it's own and if you force it open it doesn't close. Save your money this item is junk.
