Great Saw for the Price

Anonymous July 23, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work at PRORUN, and I've had the chance to use this chainsaw. This 50.1cc chainsaw is powerful and starts up reliably, even after extended use. The 20" bar is strong enough for both yard work and tougher jobs. It's well-balanced and not too heavy to handle for a full day, and the bar and chain run smoothly and stay sharp. For anyone who wants a reliable, no-nonsense gas chainsaw at a fair price, it hits the mark.

It is very hard to pull the cord

Shon February 19, 2026

The compression is extremely high, making it very difficult to pull the starter rope and get the chainsaw going. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to start it at all, so we can't comment on how well it actually works.

Not bad for the price

Tommytutone January 10, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this saw back at the beginning of December. I have used it quite a bit since then. It runs out well and cuts well. I was surprised by how good it ran. It was however very very hard to start after it was hot and had been running a while. I'm not sure why. I did at one point end up flooding it trying to get it restarted. Which seemed odd to me because when I first got the saw I forgot to turn the kill switch to run and dam near flooded it but it recovered very well and took right off on the first start. So I figured if I did that this saw would be hard to flood out. Maybe its just getting broke in I am not sure. It does handle pretty well for a saw in this price class. The anti-vibe system works well. The scrench that fits into the bottom part of the handle is a nice idea...but the tool itself is way too short to use. Trying to put the bar nuts back on with the scrench this thing comes with is frustrating. It's just too short. Speaking of bar nuts, these studs need to lengthened and or that cavity recessed quite a bit. I use a 13mm socket on an extension to get the bar nuts started...that cavity is deep but too small to reach your fingers in to turn the nuts. The gas cap and bar oil cap seem kind of flimsy...so I also take a set of channel locks to open them. Add another tool to the kit to take with the saw. But hey...it could be worse. Also the choke lever on mine is a little touchy. Sometimes it feels like it doesn't want to engage. The overall power band isn't very wide either. The air filter is little bitty. I mean its small. But for just general cutting and basic chainsaw work it does what its supposed to. I like the aluminum handle. That's a nice touch. It does start pretty easy from cold each time. I switched out to a smaller 18" oregon bar and chain. It seems to handle that a little better. The chain sent with this saw was an off brand I had never heard of. It needed sharpened out of the box. I could run my fingers across the top and not catch a finger nail. But all said and done...once sharpened it did cut pretty well. Other than those few short comings...I really cannot complain much. It does well and for the price its a decent saw. If you need something that you aren't going to use and abuse every single day this might be a real choice for you. But since I don't use it every single day I figure I'll get my money out of it.
