When I seen the Protege 21" suitcase I just had to have it. It is very lightweight only a little over 5lbs. I loved that it had wheels no more carrying my bag. The wheels are sturdy and they glide smoothly. It has a telescoping handle that you can adjust to the height that is right for you, it also has a padded handle for lifting into the vehicle. On the front of the suitcase there is two zippered pockets that fold out for papers and passports. On the back there is a pocket to put a card with information on in case the bag gets lost. When unzipping you will notice that the zipper pulls each have a ring that fits together this is to put a padlock for more added security. Inside the lid of the suitcase there is a mesh pocket it is the same size as the lid. There is two straps to strap your clothes down so they don't move around when you are transporting the suitcase around. Once you have your clothing strapped in then you can use the push button snap to remove clothing. If you need more room unzip the expansion zipper and it will give you two more inches. This may be a smaller suitcase but there is a lot of room. I am very happy with this suitcase, I would recommend it.
This suitcase is lightweight and durable, weighing in right at under six pounds. It’s compact and the perfect size for a carry on. It meets most airlines’ carry on restrictions making it ideal for me because I refuse to check in a bag. Because I don’t check in bags, I often need a carry on with a little “give” and “wiggle room.” This suitcase definitely allows that, as the durable, thick material expands and allows me the ability to make use of every single inch of the suitcase. Also, because I don’t check in bags and pack everything in my carry on, organization is essential. This suitcase is a dream. There are pockets galore which make organizing and separating items a cinch. The inline skate wheels on the suitcase make zooming through the airport a breeze, and the handle is durable. The suitcase is well made, basic black, lightweight, easy to maneuver, and has zippers that glide easily. I’m impressed with the quality of this suitcase, and I look forward to taking it on road trips, domestic flights, and international flights!
This is a great little suitcase. The material is nice and it seems well made. Perfect for using as a carryon on a plane. You can fit a decent about of stuff inside. It weighs about 6 pounds and is very easy to carry. It also comes with a 5 year warranty. If you are looking for a small suitcase that fits on a plane, go with this!
It's my 4th order on these. I am always overloaded when traveling (as I traveled with 3 kids), and it does hold a lot. Holds up to 60lbs (including snacks, clothes, shoes, hair products). Traveled with them to Jamaica and elsewhere more than 4 times and they are still in good condition.
I use this bag for short trips and it works very well for me. It feels substantial and solid without being heavy. It has multiple pockets that are great for items you don’t want coming in contact with your clothes. I can pack for a three day weekend in this bag. The long handle and wheels are wonderful for transporting. It has a handle on the top AND bottom which is wonderful and if you travel, you know this helps so much in picking it up and moving it around. I highly recommend!
I used this over the weekend and it was actually pretty roomie. It did not flip or turn on me while wheeling into the hotel. That is so annoying when you are trying to walk and drag your luggage behind you and it wants to turn over on you. I wish it was a little bigger but if your not packing a lot of stuff it’s a good one for a weekend trip.
Great piece except I'd have to agree that the inside strap stitching lacks reinforcement. Worried it might get worse with time. I will be returning.
This is a typical starter carry-on bag. The outer fabric is a thin canvas like material that feels like it could be susceptible to tearing with a couple good throws at an airport. The retractable handle feels very flimsy as if it will break off in your hand if you twist your wrist. It has a couple of storage pockets on the front and inside. It's a two wheeled carry-on. It is not a spinner bag. This would make a good bag for a kid or college student but probably won't last more than a few years.
Overall, I think this a good piece of luggage for a few basic, national trips. I like that it is budget-friendly, perfect carry-on size, and very lightweight. However, it does not seem to be a durable, long-lasting product. If you are a frequent traveler or plan to check it in often, it is not for you. With the way baggage handlers might toss it around at the airport against other luggage or on the baggage claim conveyor belt, I don’t see this luggage lasting multiple trips. The exterior cloth material is decent and well stitched. However, the zippers are of a thin, cheap build. The luggage walls are also a bit flimsy and not very well reinforced or padded. I wouldn’t put a laptop or valuable electronics in it for this reason, but it’s perfect for clothes. With all that being said, the great news is that there is a 5-year warranty in case of defects during normal use. It has all the standard functionality and ample number of spacious pockets for baggage of its class and size (also has telescopic handle, skate wheels…), and will do the job just fine for an intermittent traveler who will personally handle it with some care. Because it is very light and built just well enough, I do plan to use it as my main carry-on baggage for local US trips or road trips for the upcoming years.
Great size, wheels are great and plenty of zipper pockets and a zipper expansion. The handle pulls up and down, but seems sticky and not strong. Entire suitcase is lightweight, and would be good for road trips but I’m not sure how it would stand up to baggage handlers at the airport. Probably best for weekend trips in the car.
