I took this to Europe for three weeks, loaded it up with everything I thought I might need (and a few extra items I wasn't certain about), and I STILL had room for more. The wheels worked great on smooth surfaces, and still got the job done on cobblestone streets and bumpy sidewalks. Other than a few minor scuffs it held up well through four flights, and everything inside remained secure. It remains to be seen how long it will last, but for now I consider it a great value.
This extra large suitcase was great. We used for travel but had an issue with Midway Airport/Southwest for our return trip. They were going to charge us $200 because it exceeded their maximum size limit. Not the weight of the suitcase. Recommend you use if traveling by car.
I’ve been using Protégé luggage since 2014, and my older suitcase has traveled internationally to Mexico, gone on several cruises, and handled many local hotel stays and road trips. After so many years of good performance, I decided to try this updated 24" spinner model, and I’m very happy with it. The design is noticeably improved: the front pocket now opens fully instead of just a small zipper slot, the fabric feels more modern and durable, and the telescopic handle is smoother and more comfortable with three height positions. The suitcase rolls easily, and the wheels feel stable and balanced. The 24" size is perfect because it’s not oversized but still fits more than enough for four to five nights of travel. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and ideal for road trips, hotels, and cruises. The interior layout is also much better than the older version, with a Wet Pocket for swimsuits or damp clothes, mesh organizers, and compression straps that make packing simple and organized. I ordered it for home delivery and it arrived clean, with all the protective foam, tags attached, and the interior in perfect condition. After comparing many more expensive brands and reading countless reviews, I ultimately chose to stay with Protégé because my past experience has been reliable. This updated model is even better, practical, comfortable to use, and budget-friendly. Highly recommended, especially in the 24" size. It offers a great balance of space, convenience, and durability.
the material of the luggage seems very durable. its tall and also very wide. it can hold a bunch of stuff. I'm happy with my purchase. it has a wet clothes section a small zipper compartment. its expandable. trust me its worth every dime! I'll definitely purchase again. first choice of course
The suitcase was great quality, and very spacious! I would recommend this to anyone going on a trip for a little while. It had a few different compartments, including a compartment specifically for wet items that kept it protected. I loved this suitcase.
The Protégé Arendale Large 28" Expandable Check-in Rolling Spinner Luggage - Purple is a quality bag. It passed check-in screening without any extra-size baggage charges. The purple made it easy to spot on the conveyor. I packed a formal dress, shoes, clutch, and accessories. The dress bag fit perfectly width wise into the luggage requiring only gentle lay-in folding. I also packed a week’s clothing for the trip, including five various style shoes, leggings, shorts, shirts, summer dresses, makeup, facial care products, hair styling accessories %26 products, five various styles sunglasses, and all the typical incidentals. I did not expand it, in fact I had to cinch the straps to secure it because there was still so much room. I packed nothing in the “lid”, I’ll use the wet bag in the lid for sure on trip home. The casters rolled well and had no obnoxious noise when rolling. Although my packing weight did not exceed the weight limits, I would advise getting a hand held luggage weight, it’s going to be very easy to pack a lot more weight than expected. I would still pay the overweight fee in order to have only one bag to manage. It was easy to spot in the sea of black bags , while still being a dark easy to clean luggage bag. It fits perfectly well slid straight-in and flat in the rear of a Nissan Kicks.
I was hoping to get a large black suitcase by Swiss tech but you only had the smaller size available at this moment-so I switched to the Protege. I think it will be fine. I was not able to take advantage of the great prices offered this week for Black Friday-but I needed this size (looking like the Swiss tec model in the large size in a hurry-and I was able to get it. So I am glad for that-just sorry I couldn't partake of the other great deals.
I loved this the first time I used it! It was soooo easy to wheel around. I’m sad tho because after the 1 trip, one of the wheels is bent or something because it doesn’t roll as effortlessly anymore. That could very well be the airline mishandling the bag BUT I’ve bought a handful of luggage and I atleast have gotten a few trips out of a bag before the wheels became an issue.
The suitcase was spacious, but after 30 lbs of stuff, the wheels starting bending and not rolling properly. I struggled using it through 3 different airports and also had past surgery which limits the use of my one arm. The color is beautiful, but I wish the wheels were better and when it got delivered, it was already damaged a bit. I also have pictures that I will attach. I will be returning my suitcase and hopefully I find a new one with better wheels
Traveled to Europe. Wheels bend, material tears, clothing shifts from side to side, no belts inside to hold. Card to maneuver. The worst luggage I ever bought
