Works great for my 2.5 year old to be able to swim independently in the pool (with careful adult supervision) USCG approved which is what I look for in flotation devices. Orange is easy to spot in the water whether at the pool beach or lake. Highly recommend.

So far I like the puddle jumper floatie vest for my three year-old. She always asks for her "floatie" and she loves the kitty print and color. It's easy to put on and dries fairly quickly after use. It keeps her upright and floating in the pool, but we have only used it once so far. It's worth the price and for pool safety.

My Grandaughter loves it! She thinks it is super cute and although she is four she understands it will keep her afloat in the pool. So she was a little more relaxed and able to get some independence in the water.

Pros - * The sharks look exactly as pictured. The blue is super bright but not neon. * It's a thick foam material inside. That provides it with plenty of buoyancy. * It comes with an adjustable back strap so it can be fitted properly around the chest. Cons - * The buckle to secure it around the chest is difficult to snap and unsnap. * The sizing says up to 55%23, however, it does run small. My child is lean/thin built at 50%23 and 49 inches tall. It was difficult to secure this on them. I adjusted the straps as long as they fit and it was tight on him. After 30 minutes he asked to remove it. * The arm floates are oddly sewn into the chest float. There's a gap of material with no foam to attach the arm float part but it's sewn oddly and twist easily. * The arm floats are difficult to slide on and off. Once one arm float is out then it's easier to remove the other arm but my kiddo needed help getting his arms in and out. Over all this is okay for kids who are learning to swim or who aren't strong swimmers yet. Order a size up from weight class though.

This keeps my grandson afloat very well and he is comfortable in the water with it on. I do notice that the foam on the chest portion moves around a lot which is way different than the puddle jumpers from years past. I frequently have to remove the vest to adjust it. It doesn't seem to affect the effectiveness but it does cause it to ride up on him.

if you have a small child this will definitely help. my son is only 35 lbs but he's densely packed. This jacket was barley holding him up and anytime anyone spalshed around him he was dangerously close to sinking. I cannot imagine a 55lb child in this unless they are an intermediate swimmer.

I give this a rating of a three due to the fact that it stated it was up to 50 pounds and again I understand body types of things, but my son is 46 pounds and it didn't fit him. As far as the quality, it was good quality, the buckle kinda gave my other son, which is younger cause I ordered two a little bit of a mark on his back from where the snap was but other than that, it was good for him.

This will not cinch down tight enough for smaller children you adjust the strap then it pulls loose immediately. my daughter is 4 and weighs 48lbs and its very loose on her. the buckle adjuster needs better quality one on it. if you have a bigger child maybe 55lbs it may work better but small children it dont fit good. Also the front starts moving downward so then the whole thing looks crooked. I dont feel like shes safe in this only because its not snug like it should be. cute colors though. just the adjuster is the problem.
