This review is for the “PUR Ultimate 11 Cup Pitcher Water Filter with Lead Removal, PPT111W.” I have really hard water where I live and was really happy to get this water filter. It was really easy to set up too. All you have to do is take the water filter that is in the gold packaging out and let it soak in cold water for 15 minutes. While the filter is soaking, make sure you wash out the pitcher and accessories. Once the 15 minutes are up, place the filter into the pitcher and twist it to lock in place, that's it! Then just fill it up and drink! This water filter “removes 99 percent of lead and reduces many other contaminants” which is AWESOME! I feel so much safer using this to drink my water AND I don't have to buy anymore plastic water bottles to have good safe drinking water. I like the fact that this water filter is so easy to use. Other water filters make you run about 3 or 4 “sample” cycles through their filters where you have to dump all that filtered water out before you can drink it the first time but not this filter! Everything is already done!

I received the PUR Ultimate 11 Cup Pitcher Water Filter with Lead Removal (model # PPT111W) for free through the Walmart Spark Review Program. I am go glad this was a choice in the Spark Review Program, I had chosen my side by side refrigerator/freezer years ago because I wanted fresh clean water ready at any time. But, over the years I have discovered what a horrible choice I had made. I gave up my (well needed) refrigerator space, for the novelty of water, with horribly expensive replacement filters, I may add. Well, my wonderful (sarcasm) side by side fridge has recently died (yay) and was quickly replaced with a basic, standard, freezer on top refrigerator. I figured I would just buy bottled water but, I hated the fact that I would be contributing to all the plastic bottles in landfills. And the PUR Ultimate 11 Cup Pitcher Water Filter with Lead Removal answered my needs. I just fill the pitcher up every evening and place in my refrigerator for the next day. My only complaint is that we drink so much water in my household that the container is small and has to be refilled. Otherwise the water tastes WONDERFUL! Very clean and refreshing. The PUR Ultimate Pitcher Water Filter with Lead Removal claims to remove 99 percent of lead and reduces many other contaminants and the water sure tastes like those claims are true. I am also grateful the replacement filters are inexpensive. I can get 6 filters for less than 1 of the filter I needed for my refrigerator. Each filter lasts 2 to 3 months.

Absolutely love my new PUR Pitcher water Filtration system! Buying cases of water every week is absolutely tiring and exhausting, it is heavy and it is a complete hassle, but by having this pitcher you wont have to do that anylonger, it is an absolute must have! It's quite large in size, it holds about 11 cups of water easily, the filter installation is a breeze, just soak it in the water, let it sit for 5 min, then screw it into the pitcher, fill the pitcher up with water and you are all done, now you have a clean, crisp and great tasting water that is 99% lead free! I love the fact that the filter also reduces 96% of Mercury and reduces chlorine taste and ordor. Each filter lasts up to 2 months and the best thing is that whenever it needs to be replaced the clean sensor monitor on top of the lid will notify you when you need to get a new replacement filter, how cool is that? It's definitely nothing like all the old fashioned models that I used to have back in the day. Once you fill up the top of pitcher with water, it takes a while for the clean and filtrated water to come out into the bottom part of the pitcher, that's the only downfall, but as long as I get to have filtered, healthy and great tasting water I'm willing to wait. The other thing that I like about this product is that the pitcher has got a slim design that makes it easily fit in my fridge, also there is a pour spout cover which I find very clever. Overall I definitely recommend this product to everyone who is simply tired of buying multiple cases of water time after time, the taste of the filtered water is great and not only that, but by having this filter you will be able to save money on water yearly and reduce the waste of plastic, I'm a huge fan of recycling and not having to use hundreds of plastic bottles per months by just being able to filter my own water definitely makes me happy!!!

Pur 11 cup water filter pitcher includes 1 filter cartridge, 1 clear pitcher, 1 lid with an electronic gauge and 1 cobalt blue insert that holds the filter in place. The electronic gauge on the top has three indicator lights to let you know when it's time to change the filter. The pitcher is lightweight and has a sturdy handle. The filter filters 30 gallons of water or 480 - 8 ounce cups and it lasts 1-2 months depending how bad your water is.The box says, it save up to $1,000 per year and replaces up to 3,000 plastic bottles per year. It has a 30 day money back guarantee and a 90 day warranty. This pitcher holds 11 cups of water,it reduces 23 contaminants & substances. The pitcher has a monitor filter change light, it's made of a thick plastic and the handle has a comfort grip on one side. It does have a warning that if you do not clean it regularly and maintenance it there is a risk of exposure to contaminants. The water tastes like water and this is great to use if your water tastes nasty and you want clean tasting water.

Pitchers are a great alternatives for water dispenser or disposable bottles. A little more earth friendly as you change filter every 2 months. This particular one holds good amount of water. And seems very good. Shape doesn't let it feel bulky. Comes with a filter, pitcher, water holder and lid. Very easy to assemble. You hand wash is and put the blue hole that flows water in filter. Than put filter in. And put the lid on. Water doesn't flow really fast but that is how they all work. Only setback is if water is running low while pouring it gou have to be careful because the lid will come off and cause spills. We have had PUR water pitchers before, and had good experience with them. But this particular one didn't made me as happy as the other ones.

Takes up less space than previous model. But, the top doesn't stay on. The pour sprout gets stuck - if you try to manually open while pouring, then the top will come off. I've owned Pur water products for years. Will continue, but this Model was not tested for ease of use.

Don't waste your money on this water purifier company. Their filters really don't do anything. I have a water tester, and it should have read 001-005; it read 133. My tap water reads 154, so there was very little improvement

Very expensive dribble pitcher. Water does not pour from the pitcher it dribbles and makes a mess. Also, the filtering is extremely slow. They should consult Britta for design help.

Do not buy this!!! I wanted a good water pitcher with filtration. Trust the reviews that say this leaks. I contacted PUR directly and they would not refund my money. No matter what you do, when you go to pour water, it spills everywhere. Totally useless and a waste of my money. I threw out the box, otherwise I would return it to Walmart.
