I've been using the screw on the faucet filters. They work fine, but I was ready for something like this. everything is a breeze to assemble, I like having the light that alerts you. Water tastes good. my only issue is putting it in the fridge without spilling, lol. I set it on the counter most of the time, and I love it.
love it. ever since I received this I loaded up with all of my water and it's in the fridge. I made sure I bought three filters which will last me a long period of time I like the color green then it goes to yellow and then to red when it needs to be changed. what are tastes great I usually use spring water in it and I just filter the spring water. sometimes I use purified water in it I never use tap water. I'm so glad my wife bought this I highly recommend it!
So far, so good. It fits nicely on top shelf of fridge. A little heavy, but, hey, it's holding up to 2 gallons! No idea if filtration works, but I think it does eliminate the microplastics. It should save me over $10 a month fm buying plastic gallons of water. On well water, so don't have chlorine, and tests don't show lead. Do have iron and manganese, which I don't think this filter removes, but those levels are small. So far, a few days, no leaks from spout.
I read some reviews of people saying it takes so long for the water to filter. We have not had that issue at all. Maybe it's because of the unit size, and maybe they are using one of the smaller pitchers? But our water filters in an acceptable rate and taste great. Very happy we didn't spend a lot more on something with another brand name.
Very pleased with our Pur 11 cup water pitcher and elated that the entire household has stepped up their water intake that it just made sense to upgrade to meet supply/demand n got the 30 cup dispenser today.. Am still in awe as to the huge difference the Pur filter makes in the taste, smell and quality of our tap water, very impressive, very happy.
It does just fine for filtering the pool water they provide at the tap here in Nampa, ID. It does not however filter ANY of the mineral content of the hard as nails water. Filters chlorine just fine and improves the taste and the chlorine taste. It also filters the close to unacceptable levels of arsenic.
It started out great, water tasted better but I've had it less than one month and the filter keeps getting clogged, and won't filter the water. I will be returning it and just sticking to my Brita pitcher. I've never had issues with any of their filters. I just thought I would try a different brand to see if it tasted better than Brita. Yes, it does taste better, but I'm not dealing with the filter getting clogged and/or air bubbles and the water not filtering thru, every other time I go to fill the pitcher. Save your money and just go ahead and get the Brita pitcher. It isn't a headache like the PUR has been.
LEAKS LIKE CRAZY!!! They really should have a cap or something that closes over the nozzle to prevent this! Poor design. On another note it fills quickly until it gets to the halfway point and then it just completely stops filtering the water, all of the water just sits on top until you release some of the already filtered water from the spout. I hope they read reviews because for almost $40 it needs to be fixed!
Takes forever to fill. I think it took three hours last night on the first try we will likely be returning it.
The resevoir developed a crack which extended down the side of reservoir after the water was added and then a second crack appeared in the back of the water container down the entire back of tank. This occurred within days of use. A real waste of money!
