I needed a good water purifier, and this seemed like a good fit. And its 100% worth it. The water tastes much better than it did before, and honestly I can't go back to tap water after getting this. The container is the perfect size to sit in my fridge, and it holds a good amount of purified water. All you need to do is dump some water in the top, and the actual filtration part doesn't take that long, and the water gets very cold pretty quickly. Also, the little tap works awesome, and dispenses a decent flow. I went from drinking basically no water, to drinking exclusively water, so honestly, I'd recommend it.
I read some reviews of people saying it takes so long for the water to filter. We have not had that issue at all. Maybe it's because of the unit size, and maybe they are using one of the smaller pitchers? But our water filters in an acceptable rate and taste great. Very happy we didn't spend a lot more on something with another brand name.
I've been using the PUR PLUS 30 Cup dispenser for a few weeks now, and I'm genuinely impressed. The biggest selling point for me was the lead reduction capability—peace of mind knowing my family is drinking safer water is worth every penny. The 30-cup capacity is perfect for my household; I only have to refill it every couple of days, which is a huge upgrade from my old 4-cup pitcher. The filter indicator is accurate and easy to read, so I never forget to change the cartridge. Setup was straightforward: just rinse the filter, fill the reservoir, and wait about 10 minutes for the first batch. The water tastes noticeably cleaner and crisper compared to tap water, with no metallic aftertaste. It fits comfortably in my fridge door, and the spout design prevents drips. If you're looking for a reliable, high-capacity filter that tackles lead and improves taste, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!
I've been using the screw on the faucet filters. They work fine, but I was ready for something like this. everything is a breeze to assemble, I like having the light that alerts you. Water tastes good. my only issue is putting it in the fridge without spilling, lol. I set it on the counter most of the time, and I love it.
Very pleased with our Pur 11 cup water pitcher and elated that the entire household has stepped up their water intake that it just made sense to upgrade to meet supply/demand n got the 30 cup dispenser today.. Am still in awe as to the huge difference the Pur filter makes in the taste, smell and quality of our tap water, very impressive, very happy.
PUR is the best filter I've ever owned ! The water tastes better than previous brand name filters and pitchers. I love the design, it was easy to set up and start using in minutes. The reason for choosing this filter was the higher grade filtration. Practically, in the kitchen I enjoy the very large capacity because I fill it up twice in one: first I fill up the upper compartment and let it filter and fill up the bottom part, then I fill it again all the way to the top. Due to their clever design it doesn't spill. The water waits patiently in the upper compartment and fills up the bottom as needed. Each of the two compartments is larger than the competition's pitcher, therefore I have enough water for almost a week in one go. Love this product as a whole. The faucet handle gives me a green light every time I take water out, and I'm guessing it should give me a red light when it's time to change the filter. I'll be buying the replacement filters in bulk because this is a "life changer" in my kitchen, I'm hooked for life. And once I move to a better home it will be so much easier to move to the new kitchen - nothing to uninstall and re-install. Competition: do yourselves a favor and follow the leader, wink wink.
I bought this to replace my 10 cup Brita pitcher because I was tired of filling it up every day and thought this would be more convenient, but I was wrong. It works fine, it does a great job of filtering water. It is bulky though and it takes a very very long time to fill. The instructions mentioned 15 minutes but I would say more like 30. It also has to be tipped to empty the last bit of water out of the bottom before you refill
It started out great, water tasted better but I've had it less than one month and the filter keeps getting clogged, and won't filter the water. I will be returning it and just sticking to my Brita pitcher. I've never had issues with any of their filters. I just thought I would try a different brand to see if it tasted better than Brita. Yes, it does taste better, but I'm not dealing with the filter getting clogged and/or air bubbles and the water not filtering thru, every other time I go to fill the pitcher. Save your money and just go ahead and get the Brita pitcher. It isn't a headache like the PUR has been.
LEAKS LIKE CRAZY!!! They really should have a cap or something that closes over the nozzle to prevent this! Poor design. On another note it fills quickly until it gets to the halfway point and then it just completely stops filtering the water, all of the water just sits on top until you release some of the already filtered water from the spout. I hope they read reviews because for almost $40 it needs to be fixed!
Takes forever to fill. I think it took three hours last night on the first try we will likely be returning it.
