good product easy to use
Came on time . Gave a good and lint-free finish.
We bought the Purdy White Dove 2 pack of rollers in 3/8" nap to do some painting in our home. We must say that these are the best rollers we have ever purchased! They definitely are lint free and leave no roller marks! Just want to say thanks for making such a great product! Best part is they are made in the USA!
I've been painting for over 50 years, and never seen a roller do this before. I'm painting a ceiling flat white over flat white, paint is a premium bear paint, I'm getting hit and miss spots, after 2 coats I still have to go over certain areas again. I tried 1/2 inch and 3/8th nap. Never again will I use your rollers again. I love your brushes but not your rollers.
This roller didn't work for me at all...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a "Professional 4-Pack" of White Dove 3/8" nap 9" roller covers from a local retailer - UPC code 7 16341 40444 4 - for use in current projects using flat latex paint on walls and ceilings. These 3/8" x 9" White Dove roller covers are quite possibly the worst roller covers I've ever used. I tried using one of them for applying a flat latex paint to two semi-smooth 5'x6' ceilings. Sure, it loaded up with paint, but that's about as far as it got. Once loaded up, it was difficult to roll - it more or less just pushed the paint along the ceilings instead of rolling along the surface. It was more like trying to apply paint with an actual dove soaked in paint. And it didn't stop there. I washed the cover off immediately after use (following Purdy's own instructions - which are just pretty much common sense) and left it standing upright in a utility sink to dry out - hoping to use it the next day. The following morning I found a damp, soggy, matted mess that looked and felt more like a 1" nap wool roller. It took another full two days to dry out to be useable. I returned the package to the retailer and purchased a 3-pack of Purdy Marathon covers which I've been using since.
I used packaging tape to prep/remove loose lint routinely from my rollers. After 10 pieces of lo td up tape I gave up . I am SO glad these were returned before the lint ended up all over my hard work. Here is the LAST piece of tape
I have been using your tools for 40 years and I love the idea of the new bag but the are coming apart. I am painting with latex.I dont know if I got a bad batch or they are a poor roller cover I always promote your brushes. Ilove how they perform, but these covers say lint free and they are coming apart. Please make this right. sincerly johnnie pierce per pierce.s painting and remodeling.also bare with me I am new with a computer Thank you.
Very disappointing with the roller due to the amount of lint that was left behind. I have seen this problem before and most of the time you can just pick a few pieces out and it will stop shedding. This was so bad that we had to just stop and buy new rollers.
Rollers are poor quality. They don't hold their shape and feel like a flat tire flopping on your ceiling. They don't track, I could feel the roller wobbling side to side. The application of the paint was uneven and repeating patterns could be seen in the finish. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
