Pure Balance Wild & Free Grain-Free Salmon & Pea Recipe Dry Dog Food, 24 lbs

We were doing Purina One but it was killing my wallet. Then my dog developed a chicken allergy. I started mixing this with Purina One to get my dogs transitioned over. They enjoy the food (alone now) and it's a bit less expensive. My vet said it was fine to use it as their daily food.

My Rottweiler ended up allergic to so many brands of dog food-she was horribly itchy and looked like she had dandruff all over! It wasn't until I put her on this brand with the salmon in it that she cleared up! When Covid hit I had to drive an hour away to buy some!!!

My dog suffered from seasonal allergies every year for years. I went through so many vitamins trying to get him better. His skin was terrible at times. He has sores that he would scratch until they would bleed. I started feeding him this dog. Although It took a few months to get into his system to have an effect, but he has ZERO issues now!! This dog food saved my dog from being miserable! When I bought it, I was not expecting this, I just bought bc I thought it was a good dog food. It has definitely changed my dog's quality of life and I would highly recommend it! Just remember though, It takes a while to get things out of their system completely and it also takes some time to get into their system to have an effect. I started giving this to my Rocky last fall and by that following summer, he was a new dog with no skin allergies!!!:))

My mom gave me a bag of this food when her picky eater didn't like it because she didn't want it to go to waste. I decided to use it as a topper at first to see if my 2 senior dogs (a Bassett Hound and a German Shepard mix) liked it. They gobbled it up. At first, I thought it was just because it was something different, but they have continued to favor it over their old kibble so I gradually switched to this one and they have continued to enjoy it. They also seem to be more lively and their fur is softer and shinier. I will continue to buy this for them. As a bonus, this food happens to be less expensive than the one I used to buy.

My dogs love it. The vet asked what I was feeding my dogs and I showed her. She said this was a very good dog food. Prior to switching to this dog food, one of my dogs kept getting ear infections. The vet suggested changing his dog food to one with no chicken or beef. That's when I found this one. It has definitely kept the ear aches away and he loves the food. Not super expensive either.

Our 9yr old Beagle was sluggish and kinda dragging her back legs and she had hip pain. We thought she was just getting old but when we switched her to Pure Balance, she became like a puppy again. She has way too much energy for me to keep up with and she loves this food.

My dog struggles with itchy skin that she had patches of hair gone. I wished I realized it sooner that her other kibble was a huge culprit. She doesn't do well with corn based dog food and it seems the rice based ones weren't good enough for her, either. My dog has stopped most of her scratching and hair is filling back in. She's been on this for one month, now, and enjoys this grainfree dog food. It does cost a little more than her former food, but it's worth it, because she's much more comfortable and I save money from the vet giving her shots and pills to tackle her "allergies". I am thinking it's the salmon as it's an Omega 3 which is probably why her coat is so smooth and silky, now. ❤️

My dogs ate this food for 8 months no problem until we got two back batches in a row. They were very sick! I called the quality control number, and they were not any help. I was told someone would email me about it because they haven’t had any recalls. The food was clearly misshapen and smelled off. No one contacted me back. When I initially explained the situation the man on the phone was very rude, unhelpful, and did not take it seriously enough. I asked him if there was a recipe change, he would not give me a straight answer. I would never buy this food again! THERE IS NO QUALITY CONTROL!! Both of my dogs broke out into hives, they were itchy, had diarrhea, vomiting, ect. I wouldn’t recommend that anyone give their dogs food with salmon MEAL in it high on the ingredients list. This situation has led me down a rabbit hole researching other brands of dog food and most kibble recipes are really unhealthy. Studies have shown that most Salmon Meal recipes contain high levels of toxic metal contaminants. DO YOUR RESEARCH BECAUSE IT CAN MEAN LIFE AND DEATH FOR YOUR FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS!!! I had a dog in the past who died from toxic euthanasia drugs that were contaminated in his food. This was due to the neglect company using euthanasia drugs on the cows %26 deer they used to produce their kibble.
