Reviewing: Pure Encapsulations Hyaluronic Acid | Supplement to Support Skin Hydration, Joint Lubrication, and Comfort* | 60 Capsules
I started taking hyaluronic acid for a few days, but on the third or fourth day, I developed itchy hives all over both of my thighs. Since there was a possibility it might affect my breathing, I am stopping it altogether. My wife takes it as well for a longer period than me, without any side effects so I will offer my remaining supply to her if she is interested. The good news is that hyaluronic acid does not trigger any allergic reactions in her body the way it did in mine. In fact, she has been taking hyaluronic acid for well over the past couple of years and it seems to have helped her tremendously with reduction of inflammation and lessening of joint pain, particularly in the knees. Her back seems also to have benefited but we’re not sure if that is due to the supplements or a parallel regimen that she has adopted. One thing I will say about my experience with this supplement is that it is fairly easy to take and does not appear to cause any digestive issues. In fact, the instructions do say to take it between meals so that would seem to indicate that it should not mess with one’s digestive tract. I usually take these with water but they are small enough to be swallowed dry. All I can say is, I’m not sorry to have given it a try but at the same time I ‘m thankful to have discovered the allergic reaction early on, thus saving me some further issue with it in the future.
