I am a big fan of the snack cakes that these bars are based off of, and these bars fulfill my cravings for that junk food without any of the guilt. As far as protein bars go, the taste/macros/pricing for Pure Protein are hard to beat and this flavor is no exception. Highly recommend!

I usually get my protein from wrestling salmon out of the hands of Grizzly Bears in the Alaskan wilderness, but when I am in the lower 48 my options are severely limited. That's why I turn to these lemony goodness bars to satiate my ravenous hunger. The texture is close to natural salmon but it is a much tastier option than raw salmon to get your protein goals met. Keep it up Walmart!!!!!!

I literally have to cut these into bite sized pieces because they're nearly impossible to bite through. And then each bite takes about 5 minutes to chew up. The taste starts out decent but loses flavor quickly, leaving you with a densely chewy lump of yuck.

Absolutely dreadful and disgusting! The taste is horrific! 🤮Tastes like cardboard. ( no I don't eat cardboard) 🤦🏻‍♀The texture on the outside of the bar is smooth. The inside is gummy and chewy. Smells like lemon cake a little, but it definitely doesn't taste like any cake that I have ever eaten. It's so disgusting that I couldn't finish it. It looks good, but it isn't. I had high hopes for this bar. Boy am I disappointed! To sum it all up, YUCK!!!! 🤢

The Zig Zag flavor taste incredibly strange . I’m used to protein bars and even for a protein bar this is strange … it tastes like straight up chemicals , probably the worst protein bar I’ve ever had . I wonder if I got a bad batch ? The fruity pebbles one was better.

I saw these zig-zag (zebra) bars and decided to try them, since I like almost every flavor of Pure Protein. The first bite tasted a bit unusual, and on the 2nd bite I actually had such a soapy, artificial taste in my mouth that I spit it out, threw it out, and threw the other 3 unopened bars in the trash as well. NOT GOOD! I've never had an issue with any other flavors and am a regular buyer but never again on these.

I’m am just flabbergasted that a company actually sells this item!!!! So awful that even the tempting outer look would not lure me to eat a second one. I have eaten every type of protein bar and this looking like a dessert lured me to purchase. Yes it is very chalky but even worse was the taste. After spitting it out, I let coworker try one. She eats bars daily like myself. We love sharing good experiences like Barebells, Primebites, Quest but we both hated this. At least now I know NEVER buy another box of this brand. I wanted to try the lemon or strawberry but thankfully I didn’t waste more money. I think these 5 star reviews have to be incentivized.

The zig zag flavor is genuinely sickeningly bad. Sometimes protein bars have that artificial flavor, but it’s so overwhelming with this flavor that I don’t understand how they even assigned a different flavor to this bar. It tastes like plastic up front, but the aftertaste it like vomit. Truly repulsive.

The top pink park tastes like fruity pebble but the bottom part tastes like plastic and medicine combined in one…and there’s no customer support to return it

These taste f-ing awful. I don't know how much this company has paid for these 5 star reviews but I couldn't even make it through half of one bar. The flavor can only be described as waxy with an insanely unpleasant butt-like aftertaste. And that's not a exaggeration..... The texture is significantly more gummy than the average protein bar too, so you have to chew it for what feels like forever. I'm not one to waste food but these are almost impressively inedible.
