Pureology Color Fanatic Top Coat + Tone Blue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So much shine and helped to lighten up some of the orange ish tone on my hair. My hair feels so soft and hydrated! I alternate blue with the clear gloss about 1x month each. Or morning I have a special occasion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am trying to grow out my color treated hair that is rather orange now that it has been months since I have colored my hair with permanent color. After shampooing and lightly squeezing excess water from my hair, I apply one squirt blob at time to the colored parts of my hair until all the orange parts are coated lightly. I set a timer for 5 or 6 minutes. Then I blow dry it in on medium to low heat setting. Then I rinse it in cold water when the timer goes off. Then I apply styling products and style. The bottle has lasted a while with this routine. I shampoo my hair twice a week. The blue tint does not stick to my untreated graying brownish black hair, but it neutralizes the orangish parts of my hair so it all blends nicely. I tried to not apply it after every wash, but the blue tint does not last after shampooing so I need to reapply it each time.

I think it works very well and makes my hair extra soft. I leave it on for at least 20 minutes. The first time, I didn't notice a change, but I did the second time, and especially the third. I didn't wait so long to use it after the last coloring (2 weeks after coloring, but my hair gets very brassy) so it worked great. I will be using once a week to maintain. And I did pay for it!

This product is exactly what has been needed for years on the mass market and I'm so glad I found it. My natural hair color is dark brown, and I have light brown balayage throughout that tends to turn brassy. Pureology tones it with pure pigment, unlike the normal color shampoos. Also it's good to have the blue color to tone orange and not just a purple option that is better on yellow. I highly recommend this product and I will continue buying it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smells lovely, subtle and soft, not like chemicals. I have grey hair, and it helps keep my hair from looking dull. Purple does not work for me. It conditions my hair too. I cannot seem to find it in stores. It will give your grey a blue hue if use it to often but it looks super cool. I actually like the look! A bit pricey due to I buy more than one at a time.

I had higher expectations for this product. It may have slightly affected the color, but I could barely notice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product did absolutely nothing to my hair. I purchased it to help tone down the brassy color I had after using ash brown dye. The color is the same before and after use as if I hadn't used anything. It was a waste of money for me.
