Purina Beneful Healthy Weight Dry Dog Food, Healthy Weight With Farm-Raised Chicken, 15.5 lb. Bag

I had a vacation home in Western Maryland. Mind you, I had 4 German Shepherds. One Saturday night, around 10pm, I was watching TV, my husband was in the loft upstairs (bedroom), sleeping, as I hear all my dogs barking. The house was a Cedar- Chalet with a lot of windows and 2 Cathedral Ceilings. I open the Vertical Blinds after turning on the outside light and what do I see? A huge Black Bear bounces off of one of the doghouses and looked right in the window where I stood. Well, seems he was more scared than I was when he saw me, ha,ha,ha....I saw a red tag in his ear (State Bear), my husband woke up and took one of his guns and fired a shot in the air and the bear left. He came back, We found out that Alex did not eat his dinner all the way and the bowl was besides his doghouse. Alex wanted to jump on the bear with his chain on and we told him from the porch to get in the dog house. He listened real good ! The Black Bear went around Alex's dog house and laid down. pulled the bowl closer to him and munched happily PURINA DOG CHOW and when he was done he walked off contend an no one saw him again. My husband died, so I am with my very good female watchdog. Katja,. I switched her dog food to PURINA from another brand and she loves it. She eats BENEFUL. Her coat is shiny and she is active. This is great dog food. Thank you, PURINA !!!

I always bought small bags of dog food, because I couldn't carry the biggest size. I ordered the largest one on line and couldn't believe how easy it was. Very very fast delivery. Saved money on gas and several trips to the store. Wish I would of done this along time ago. My dog is happy too. Thanks Walmart.

This product helped my dogs loose weight. I combined a cup of Purina Beneful Weight with real chicken and half a can of Walmart brand no salt green beans (per my Vet's recommendation of substituting green beans for some of the food) and my dogs lost 7 pounds that she needed. Not to mention, it Walmart pricing is excellent! They did not over priced this product it is very affordable to buy for the purpose.

The dog food arrived sooner than I expected which was great. The only thing I didn't like was the packaging. We filled an entire recycling bin with the cardboard the food was sent in. It was one box inside another box. I think it would have arrived just fine if it was packed into just one box.

We have been using this food for our dog for several years, and he loves it. The main thing I wanted to say was, when I opened the package, you could actually smell it! I had been ordering from Vons delivery previously but they were out, so had to find it elsewhere. I was never able to smell it before, so think I may have been receiving older/stale product without realizing it. I will definitely continue to purchase through Wal-Mart in future.

My dog has been eating this product for about 4 years now. Her weight stays at the right level. Purina has been a trusted brand over the many years of dogs. My dog will eat willingly either dry or with some chicken stock on it. Our Vet is happy with the results of a healthy, maintainable weight it is providing our pet.

My Vet recommends INSTINCT but, my Shih Tzu/Maltese will only eat it if I mix it with this product. I give this product 4-stars based on my pets preference; because, she will eat it alone as a last result, because, she likes all dry food mixed with wet dog food.
