IT actually helped my to dogs go from 76 lbs down to 60 in 3 months. and the like it. You can't go wrong for the price. most dog food is 1 buck a 1lb these days. sometimes walmart has a coupon. 3 bucks off or up to 6 if you buy the big back. Purina Healthy Beneful is all I've fed over the years. My Shepherd Mix lived to 15, English Shepherds are 13 this August, and my German Shepherd made 2 months shy of 16. Purina has been there for my family. Dogs, Cats, Lambs even the Hamster. our animals were and are healthy and food is in good condition, no dust. we are very pleased.

My dog is a rescue. I was told that she was a Lab but she is definitely a Border Collie. She is truly a blessing to us. We found out that she was abused and treated very poorly. I had to teach her almost everything. She learned quickly but was always begging for food. She gained weight and grew to almost half again as much as she should. I looked into all of the weight control dog foods. Most were so expensive we couldn't afford them. I found Beneful Weight Control with chicken. We slowly entered Beneful to her food gradually adding more Beneful and less old food. She actually loves it! I feed her twice a day and she seems to be satisfied with the sound and the taste. She is also losing weight! I will continue to feed her Benefil Weight Control even after she loses the excess weight.

I buy Purina Beneful weight watcher dog food for our Yorky. She does not need to watch her weight, but I feed her human food as well. This way, I know she is receiving the proper nutrients she needs. Our Yorky likes this product. Even though I spoil her with people food, she still eats her food as well. I prefer the small bags. Since our pet is small, one bag lasts a while. Buying smaller bags keeps the food fresher longer. Good product. Good company. Highly Recommended

Since this is dog food, I asked my dog, Lola, how she liked it. She indicated that it was good and very tasty and liked to finish it all , instead of leaving it and munching on it all day. She recommends it to any dog that likes a lot of crunch and good flavor.

This is the only kibble my girl likes to eat. She is a large sporting breed mix, yet even for active dogs like her, this formulation is still appropriate when adjusting for maintenance and not weight loss, both charts being on the packaging. When our girl first came to live with us her stomach was so sick all of the time, but when I eventually switched her over to this, her issues disappeared and she has been so healthy, saving on extra vet bills.

The Pate version mixed with Beneful dry dog food for small dogs is my puppies favorite meal!! They do not turn it down. The only issue I have found with it is that it evidently sells very well and is not available every time I need it. So I try to stay stocked up by ordering when I open the last box.

love that it actually smells good. smells like real chicken. I just got it so don't know if it helps with weight yet. usually they say things have to get into the body before stuff works. depends on the animal, maybe 2-3 months like us. I know my dog likes it a lot better than kibbles and bits.

I did not plan ahead when I switched my dog to this food Mix it in with regular food for a while. My poor traumatized dog looks at me like I betrayed her. Still to this day…I get that, eyes cut up %26 to the side as they glare at you then the food %26 back to you. Mom, I can't believe you're feeding me this diet $%26@! I'M STARVING. LOL Back to business. My dog does eat the food. She is a happier %26 healthier girl overall.

We switched our dogs over to this when much oldest, but no longer with us, was diagnosed with diabetes. I have tried switching then to different brands that were supposed to be better for them, and more expensive, but..... it took forever to get thru the bag bcuz our dogs didn't like them. Give them this and they are happy. Just bcuz a vet prefers the expensive brand they may be selling in their office, or recommend as the best, doesn't mean it's going to work for your fur babies. This one gets 5 stars from our remaining 4 fur babies!
