Friskies shredded chicken and salmon is enjoyed by both my indoor owned kitties and the outdoor feral community cats. There's a lot of gravy to go with the shreds, so you do end up with less meat pieces than the pate varieties offer. So if you have a lot of felines that need to be fed, use this one occasionally %26 focus more on the pate options. I wish the price would go down rather than up, as friskies has been a favorite in this feline household for many years %26 many feline generations.
Who would think chicken and salmon seafood combined would satisfy and please my aging cat? Not me but for the first time in a month, the cat ate ALL her food after opening the cat! This is a current hit. Of course as with most cats, she likes it today but who knows about tomorrow?!
This is one of my cat's absolute favorite blends. Raef always enjoys this flavor and finishes it almost every time, which says a lot. The shredded texture and gravy seem to really appeal to him. It's also a great value at Walmart versus other stores which makes it an easy go-to for regular feeding. Consistent quality and a happy cat - that's the goal!
What's nice about this flavor is that it not only has the chewy yet soft texture and gravy they love, but the combination of chicken with salmon is pleasing. Chicken is always popular with most kitties and the salmon adds a nice fishy zing without being too strong for the most "delicate" palates . It pleases all the crowd, the fish lovers and the chicken cravers!
Our cats love this flavor among a couple more offered by Friskies. The shred is the bomb according to them, trust me; if we try and slide any other texture to them they will come up and get in your face and scream while tapping at you. Very picky eaters. I think more on the spoiled side, that I had nothing to do with. Nice texture to the food, cats really love the mixture. Just enough juice or gravy which ever you want to call it. They sure love eating it. Not a bad price as long as the four legged family is happy also.
Whether it's shreds, pieces, cuts or pate, the original product of the Purina canned cat food line is Friskies. The 5 oz can is perfect for a 2 cat family, as one can will keep kitties from "Starvation', as they'd like to make you think. Kitties like most flavors, but mine go for all the salmon, shrimp and fish flavors, and yet the aroma from those is not terrible to the human olfactory system. My kitty tends to like the addition of sauces or gravies in certain flavors. Walmart is the most economical purchase of this type of canned cat food I have found. The food comes in an easy to open tabbed can, needing no can opener. Your kitty will hopefully go for it!
I have a very picky Simease cat that will not eat many brands of wet food.. Tried others she would throw up. Switching to Friskees the only style she will eat is the Shreds. No problem with her throwing it back up and she eats the entire contents within minutes.
I have a very picky cat. As long as something is mixed /combo' ed, with the chicken, he will eat it, but mostly he's a gravy boy. That's the first to be devoured. I've tried all other brands of wet cat food just to have him snirl his nose at it and its wasted along with my money. So, I stay with what works.
My cat absolutely loves this food! The gravy is nice, thick and they shreds are thin which is her preference. Soon as she hears the can opening she comes running she even knows the drawer they're in. My Nala loves friskies shreds and always leaves a clean bowl.
All of the Friskies wet cat food for the past few months the pieces of meat are NOT bite size. I have to cut them up which for the price I shouldn't have to do that. It doesn't matter what kind of cat food it's been, but all of the canned Friskies product is lacking in their quality.
