Purina ONE Plus Dry Dog Food for Adult Dogs, Real Protein Rich Natural Lamb & Rice Formula, 40lb Bag

My dogs have some sort of weird allergies. They can't deal with chicken or beef, anything super high fat very well. They ended up tolerating lamb and rice large breed very well. I've tried at least 8-9 other brands with my golden retriever usually ending up puking or the other. The vet said people like to look down on big box food, I get it but he said they are able to sell this much the product for a reason, they are good for dogs. Before my dogs my cat who lived to be 22-23 years old only ate purina as well. It's a good brand… I do feel suspicious yeah at the quality in the big bags is not as good sometimes.

This is one of the best healthy dog foods I've ever come across in about 30 years. Lamb and rice is always a healthier choice for any dog owner whose dog doesn't require a special diet. Its great for their skin, coat and digestive system and healthier than cheap dog foods. If you love your dog and want them around longer, I recommend spending the extra money, its worth it in the long run for them!

This Purina One Lamb and rice has been great for my sweet boy. I took him in 5 months ago as a foster, not knowing much about dogs. He is allergic to chicken and broke out in many hot spots. It took him a couple of weeks to be okay with the change in dog food but now loves the lamb and rice. Way less hot spots and he's eating less grass too!! (Before and after photos attached)

We have five rescue dogs, which means every meal is judged by a panel of highly opinionated food critics. If one dog doesn't like something, the other four hear about it immediately. After plenty of trial, error, and what I can only describe as "digestive learning experiences," we landed on Purina ONE Plus. Every night, Daddy makes what we call a dog-food casserole—a carefully crafted masterpiece featuring this kibble and a few dog-safe additions. The moment the food bowls come out, five dogs magically appear from parts of the house I didn't know existed. A word of advice: learn from our disasters. Do your research. We discovered that foods with pork didn't agree with our crew at all. Also—and this is important—DO NOT switch dog foods overnight unless you enjoy surprise carpet-cleaning adventures and emergency trips to the backyard. Since switching gradually to Purina ONE Plus, we've had happy dogs, clean bowls, and significantly fewer household emergencies. Their coats look great, their energy is good, and mealtime has become the highlight of the day. Five stars from our entire rescue committee. The dogs would write their own review, but they're currently busy staring at Daddy in the kitchen waiting for tonight's casserole.

My 3 dogs really like the lamb and rice . They will eat the other flavors ( been feeding for several years) But all three like this product. Don't know if it because it's new or what! maybe they tired of the other flavors. Anyway right now they are happy when they get this flavor!

It's a healthy dog food and price right. of course less is always better. My Black Lab is fussy and so far he's been fine with it. Hasn't been on it for very long so hopefully he continues. Dogs will be dogs, you just never know. Usually within a couple days if he doesn't like something you'll know.

I have 2 senior Cane Corsos and a 1yr old Presa Canario /Livestock Guardian Dog mix that is quite finicky and extremely active so it can be challenging to get her to eat a full meal and keep her muscle tone. I've tried all the Walmart brands and this is one of my top 3 I'd say. They eat less. Poop less. Look better and are fulfilled with just water soaked on top or a can of wet food i split 3 ways -plus their skin/coat vitamins and hip joint supplements. I can't think of any dog I wouldn't feed this one to. Great formula.

I bought a smaller bag of dog food with a different flavor to mix with my current bag , which is also my made by Purina. I figure they use many of the same ingredients , so it's not the same as changing to a totally different brand. I like to change up their flavors from time to time so they don't get bored with their food. So far , it looks like they like it.

My dog is not a Border Collie or a Schnauzer. She must enjoy eating this because there is not any leftover. I suppose I have an honest kitchen. When I had Dalmatians I started getting lamb and rice and they thrived on it. It seems to really be good for bringing luster to any length of coat.

Very disappointed. I've ordered Purina one products for years. This just did not seem right from the start. My dog is not picky and will eat anything. After feeding her this for two weeks, there were flies in my airtight container. They obviously hatched.
