Extremely expensive imo but my dogs love it so worth the money!
I have been purchasing this dog food for several years and I started buying from Walmart instead of other places primarily because they ship with Fed Ex. Fed Ex always takes great care of my packages and I do not have to go to the post office to pick up my dog food.
I have fed the Chihuahua's in my life Bil-Jac but decided to switch to this and I am glad I did. I think she has gained some weight since I started feeding her this. I do use a topper now, also. Mainly the Blue lamb, turkey, beef or chicken toppers. I feed her two tablespoons of the Purina and 1 tablespoon of topper twice a day. So far so good. I will stick with this for, hopefully, good.
I bought the expensive puppy food, gave most away because he wouldn't eat it! As he neared a year and decided he didn't like AGAIN what I had gotten I decided to after reading several comments on the Frenchie Facebook page that their dogs loved Pro Plan chicken I decided to to go for it. I am one of the lucky ones that he is not allergic to chicken…… he loves it! He free feeds and then either gets cut up boiled chicken or a hamburger for dinner. He doesn't over eat, nibbles here and there throughout the day.
My Jack Russell's love the chicken pieces. They will pick through the bowl and eat the chicken first.
We’ve been buying this food for our dogs for years and had always been satisfied with it, until now. This is the first time it has EVER had big chunks of whatever it was in it and my dogs will not eat it. This is suppose to be Pro Plan for SMALL Breed Dogs. At almost $72.00 plus tax a bag we cannot afford to keep throwing away all the mystery stuff. I need to return this bag and exchange it for another. Before I leave the store I will definitely be opening the bag to see if it is the same. My husband sent Purina an email and they said it was kibble that they added. I’m gonna call Bull. Never had this before and if you’re gonna change your formula, it shout be noted and or packaged differently.
Spent $60 on dog food for our puppy and when it arrived in the box there was mouse feces, spilled food, and the bag had a hole chewed through it. Absolutely unacceptable!
