We are very happy with this umbrella. It is very easy to operate, very sturdy and allows us to adjust it so the shade is where we need it!

Our two purple leaf umbrellas have stood 9 good years of Midwestern winters I've left them outdoors all season and own a water base and our other is screwed down into the deck Emily at Purple leaf was following up on a new replacement umbrella we'd ordered in navy I'd noticed that a Canadian rail strike could possibly be delaying our shipment and I'd also chosen a color that was delayed As soon as Emily had discovered our situation she promptly notified us that she and her team at Purple leaf would make sure one was coming very soon! Ten days later we had our color, removed an old cover that was beyond attractive due to our negligence and we now have our colorful navy and grey umbrellas up and soaking in the sunshine! We ordered the 11' round beige umbrella last spring for our new deck Now, a year later, I am happy to say that the umbrella has held up great The ability to cast a large shadow that we can easily reposition to match the changing position of the sun has been wonderful This lets us sit on our deck comfortably in the shade at any time of day We have paired it with the Purple Leaf 32'x32' square base and have had no issues with tipping, even on breezy days I wouldn't leave it up on a gusty day or in a storm, but a regular breezy day is no problem at all Very happy and considering another one in the future to add more shaded area to our outdoor oasis

I ordered the 11 ft grey cantilevered umbrella with solar lights Set up and assembly was very easy I only needed the wife to help align the main pole with the base Great quality and I love the grey Easy to adjust and rotate Great buy for the patio and got a good black Friday price!

We are extremely pleased with our two Purple Leaf umbrellas Thanks so much for sending the replacement base for the 11' round We also love the 9' x 12' Double Top Deluxe with Solar LED and the base with wheels is very convenient

So far I've just filled it up with water and it seems to be doing just fine Had a couple storms with heavy duty winds and my 11' round Purple Leaf umbrella has held steady-so far so good

It's easy to put together It only took a few minutes Covers 13 feet and can be rotated 360 degrees Will buy again

I will say you get what you pay for, as with anything else in life. I did a fair bit of research and know there are several more expensive brands available. Based on the reviews I saw, Purple Leaf appeared to be a good value. It is a value brand, but has a few quality issues. I give their CS Department credit for being responsive. What I discussed with them is that the umbrella is well-designed, but suffers from some cheap details in crucial areas like weight-bearing bolts being aluminum. Mine snapped and flew off. There was also a missing nut on the sliding mechanism. Purple Leaf sent me better replacement parts than the original pieces. I would give them a higher rating if they fixed these relatively minor issues. Overall the umbrella works as intended and looks nice. Hopefully they'll show improvement in the near future.
