After review of multiple pergola/gazebo options, we decided that the Purple Leaf was the best, and we were not disappointed. Fast shipping, and quality product. Only negative was that the instructions were lacking complete drawings of how to assemble.

This was a very important decision for me to get right, and I could not be happier. Easy online purchase, on time delivery, product in perfect shape, great instructions made assembly go very smoothly. It took two of us a day and a half to assemble and anchor it to a concrete pool deck. Everything works like it should. Two heavy storms have hit here since we put it up. You wouldn't know it. People think it must have cost much more than it did. It is beautiful. I admire the detail 'Purple Leaf' puts into their work, the caps for the screw tops, a detail that adds elegance to the ambiance. This item is very cool in more ways than one.

love the color of the pergola and the retractable canopy. read installing instructions carefully or you will accidentally install some pieces wrong.

This pergola has truly added enrichment to my backyard. it is a great addition while providing shade and comfort.

Due to extra hot summer, I'm still erecting it. So far, instructions are easy to follow and are straight forward. Everything was well packed in one carton. Next, I need to attach the fabric and finish mounting it to my deck. I purchased Cafe lights and will be including them for added ambiance.

Nice overall; set up took a while

Fairly easy to put together. I bought this to replace another pergola that was damaged after a heavy snowstorm. This pergola was more expensive and claimed to be stronger than most so I almost paid double the price of comparable pergolas. I'm not sure the additional price was worth it, it doesn't seem as sturdy as the previous one I bought that was cheaper.

The pergola looks great once installed. However, it took several hours to assemble, and at least two people were needed at times. After fully installing and anchoring it into a concrete slab, the pergola still feels somewhat flimsy and tends to flex even in light winds. Additionally, the tracks for the sunshade did not line up properly, and I had to bend them slightly to allow the rollers to move through.
