Inexpensive and great for beginners
Pyle's 6.5" and 7.5" Birch Wood Bongos are well constructed and have a nice sound for the price. They're also great for beginners and children because they're somewhat smaller and lighter than "regulation"/professional bongos, which can be quite a bit heavier and may require a stand if you aren't a fairly large, strong person/ man. Walmart also had by far the best price available! All around a great starter set.

Wonderful sound, quality bongo, checked this out with a friend who is a professional percussionist and they said to buy. Glad I did.

Sturdily made
The bongo drum seems tough and strong and is being enjoyed by my three year-old grandson. I do have to say that it arrived looking rather dirty, as if it had been sitting on a shelf for a very long time. I was somewhat disappointed in that, but not enough to return it.
