Sound great and easy to install. Only con is I had to bend grill edges to get them to stay in well.

I'm completely impressed ! Especially with the sound quality granted they're in a small room but connected to my Sony surround sound at maximum volume can't stay in the room without getting a huge headache . The folks that I've seen complain about the quality of construction are trying to lay blame on the speakers for busting corners off when I have no doubt whatsoever it wasn't due to any faulty materials or manufacturer that caused the corners to bust off it didn't come from tightenng down the screws but much rather due to personal error when trying to remove the grills from the speaker before installation. Okay, I had a pair of in-ceiling speakers from Paradigm that I literally installed almost 30 years ago. They crapped out, and I needed a rectangular replacement so I wouldn't have to deal with drywall repair. So I took a chance on these. Lemme tell ya. Freaking SHOCKED! I put them in this afternoon, installation was a total breeze, and the sound? They're not even close to broken in yet and my wife and I are amazed. Value for dollar here? Off the CHART! Buy them. Buy them now.

I pinned the template onto the ceiling (after checking in the attic for space, clearances and stud alignment) and using a multi-tool, had these installed within minutes. They install similar to an ""old work electrical box"", with tabs that swivel out as you tighten the screws. The fit is tight and clean and the sound is really good.

Great speakers! I have them in my garage, paired with a powered home sub and a cheap Kenwood receiver. The speakers are slightly hollow sounding, lacking bass. Overall they do sound good when you supplement the bass, I have recommended them to friends and helped them install them, I would buy again for the garage or patio, I probably wouldn't put them in the living room surround expecting theater quality sound.

These sound amazing on my Sony STR DN1080. Would have given 5 stars since they are very affordably priced, but one of these came with some cosmetic damage and I had not opened them since I was not ready to install them. Being outside the window, I can't return them or anything. Just make sure to check them (like anything) when you get them and not wait 4 months like I did.

Great Speakers for surround sound and the price is good. Only negative so far is the speakers do not have adjustable tweeters as advertised. Also the install instructions arent great. If you do a search online you will see some install videos that are good. I highly recommend that you tighten (stop before they are fully tightened as you dont want to break the mounts) and loosen all the screws first as they are quite stiff the first time. Once you have done this is will make your final install much easier. .

Just purchased and installed into my drop ceiling for over a pool table. Install time was about 30 mins for both speakers. Light weight and good clear sound, not much bass though if that's what you're looking for. Comes with template for easy cut out instal. Best bang for your $50 to have clean flush mounted speakers.

I purchased these for two reasons: 1. Fully enclosed for better base, 2. Adjustable tweeters. Well, the base is not great, as these are ported (the port looks exactly like the tweeter), and the tweeter is NOT adjsutable, even though it says they are on the box. I even disassembled one to see if it was just stuck, but nope. Not adjustable. Since I already cut the hole in the drywall, I had to keep them. Not exactly happy, but these are in a living room with 12 foot high ceilings and not for tv, so the directional thing is not a huge issue, but I have had to add a powered subwoofer to supplement them for more bass.

Please be aware that they will not fit in the depth of a 2x4 wall. Also, the construction is marginal at best. Be very careful with the fasteners as they are a very tight fit in the plastic retainers and will strip easily. The electrical posts will turn in the speaker unit and I assume sever the internal wires if turned to excess. Be careful when attaching the speaker wires. The speakers are usable and sound OK for the price if these precautions are taken. More expensive speakers are much higher quality but are. . . more expensive.
