Ordered this out of the spur of the moment thing, I had a review add on camera I installed in my Ford F150 but after a year or so it failed. This stereo didn't cost any more than another good add on back up system and had all the bells and whistles. First thing I got the wiring harness from Walmart a couple of days before I received the stereo on a recommendation from a guy in the Walmart Tire shop. Wrong choice, ended up going to Autozone to get the right harness ( at least was the case for my pickup. Unboxed everything thing and things are looking good, made up the wiring harness with help from the net , the downloaded owners manual and the actual book. Unless one has a CD changer, Amp etc. there are a lot of extra wires to contend with. I didn't have all that and the owners manual isn't all that clear on what goes where. Next day , time for the all out install. big disappointment. The Pyle is too big for the dash hole of the original stereo . About a 1/2 inch taller and about a 1/4 inch wider. I made the cutout bigger with the help of Dremel and sanding drums . After making what looked like a big mess of my dash, things fit. gave the back up camera a try and perfect. Finished off everything , backed out in the drive and set back and admired my hand i work. Its no the best but I can improve. for better looks, but the pickup is 14 years old and I am just a tad older by about 60 years. Took me a day and half cutting splicing harnesses etc. but well worth it for my notion,. The radio sounds good, blue tooth phone volume will blow the doors off , super loud, DVD works great haven't tried much else except the GPS and the back up, both good perfroming.
If you plan on putting this in a 2003 Ford F150, think again unless your prepared to cut up the dash to enlarge the hole more.
