Decent quality
I was surprised, as I had low expectations for a low cost product like this, however it appears to be very sturdy and holds up my Shure SM7B without drooping due to the mic's weight. In order to extend out in front of my desk, I did have to put a counter weight on the base to avoid it falling over, but that is easy enough.

The Beast
This beast is awesome. It feels much heavier than 16lbs but it is definitely well-built. I encourage everyone to really consider this product.

great stand
awesome it handles the right just fine (at the arm by staying in position), well I did have to add some weight plates to the base when fully extended to the side it kind of topple over, but I doubt most people will use it as I do, but as far as the arm, it handles the weight just fine.

You get what you pay for
Arrived when expected and seems to function as expected. The metal at the base of the arm seems a bit flimsy as it started to warp a little when I was testing the range of motion of the scissor spring arm, but so long as you are aware of it, I don't expect a sudden mechanical failure. Overall I'm happy with the purchase considering the price.
