I have speakers hard wired in my backyard, garage, basement and main level. Having volume control is so was my main concern, and not having to connect different set of wires depending on where I was listening. Banana plugs work but only the single kind, speaker connectors are not spaced foe double banana plugs. Still love it and my polks and Cerwin vegas sound great.
I wanted to be able to listen to two sets of speakers in one room so that I could play simultaneously and then my search had started. I came across the Pyle PSLSW4 and I ordered it. It came quickly and skeptically I unboxed it and then connected it to my Marantz HD1. When I listened to the 4 speakers setting, I was amazed, and my mind was blown. I am very happy I purchased this Speaker Selector from Pyle.
This is the second one of these I've bought. The first one finally got exhausted after 10 years and being shipped back-and-forth from Germany. Really it still works, but one of the volume selectors finally gave up. Did not hesitate to reorder another one. So many things you can do with this.
This is a very nice tool for me to compare my speakers I can connect 4 set of speakers, and play any combination and also compare two different Amplifiers and play any set of the four set of speakers with Amplifier A or B and very easy to connect your speakers
This was a perfect solution to a home entertainment system where the audio receiver has many speakers connected to it for TV sound but also was using Sonos for music. The A/B switches on each volume speaker control was the reason to buy. Oftentimes we would find that some speakers were always out of balance and this was the solution. Combining this device for the hardwired system (receiver & inwall speakers) and the Sonos Amp proved to be the solution to that problem.
This passive speaker select/volume controller fit exactly what I needed. I have a multi input amplified mixer that directly feeds a set of monitor speakers for my drums, and a Bose L1B2 that I use vocals, and Bass fed through the headphone jack during band practice. I kept having to disconnect my speaker cables during band practice because The mixer would not allow the speakers to be reduced in volume and still generate enough output for the Bose. This Pyle unit has 4 speaker controls which is overkill for me, but the volume control works amazing, and if needed a simple button disconnects all speakers. A little bigger than I needed space wise, but works amazing.
This is a fine, old school solution to my problem, which is that I wanted to separately control the sound volume between my outdoor deck and my interior great room. I can now easily turn the deck speakers off when we're not out there, so my townhome neighbors are not disturbed. Also, for some reason, the outdoor deck speaker need to be at a higher volume to enjoy, so when all are being used, the outdoor speakers' volume is louder without blasting the indoor listeners.
I have a 5. 1 system inside and 2 speakers outside. This is a 4 speaker pair setup which you would think is perfect. . . well no. . . only has 2 inputs. So this means front speakers on one channel, 2 inside and 2 outside (Button A). Surround on #3 channel (Button B. ) Boom. . . done. BUT. . . have sub woofer and center channel so need to unplug subwoofer and ensure that center channel is not on. Had to buy remote transmitter/receiver for outside sub. It works good. I do not believe sound quality has been compromised. I cannot hear any difference when I have everything turned on vs. just inside or just outside. This would be perfect for 2 channel systems with 1 amp or 2 amps or 4 channel system and 1 amp. I could not find a 5. 1 system for under a ton and 1/2 of money!
I don't have it
Very disappointing. Hooked up and it only worked for approximately 8 hours all together. Working with manufacturers direct. They want us to send back for repair. Sent paperwork work to them via email for proof of purchase through Pyle, didn't hear back for 2 - 3 days, called again and they said they never received the email with the attachment, sent to them again while on the phone with them, they confirmed they received email this time and would send us the address in New York for sending the Pyle Splitter back - still waiting. Will never purchase an electronic product from this company again.
