Now I have a second set of eyes on the back
The fact that the monitor is in the review mirror thereby not taking up any space on the dash. I would recommend that if you are going to put in a van that you be ready to purchase a short video cable because one with it is to short. It would work for a car.

If you struggle with this and complain, you're not mechanically inclined and should just waste money paying someone smarter to do it for you. Works great.

i would buy this product again
it works perfect ease to wire up.had to get a glass co. to glue the mirror on .they dont charge for that around here you cant beat the poduct for the price.thank you Ronald M.

Mission Accomplished!!!
Product works great and was relatively easy to install. I like that the video screen is built into the rear view mirror instead of a separate monitor. Cant tell its there until turning the car into reverse! However, much needed improvement on instructions. A link explaining options on how to wire the hot lead and tap into the rear light would have saved me a lot of time.

A little more light please :)
it was easy to install. mirror wire is a bit short to reach stereo. i had to fuse two wire extensions to reach. the wire coming from the back of truck f150 reaches where brake latch is. Night vision a bit low. Will place extra back light to get more illumination.

Poor design and explanation prior and after purcha
The installation wasn't described properly before I purchased it. The mirror has to be wired to a fuse box which means a cord has to run from the mirror to the fuse box. I don't want a cord hanging from the mirror or else take off the ceiling panel and door panels and buy extra cords so it will reach. Also, a power cord has to run from the license plate to the ignition connection. How does all that happen without cords showing everywhere or taking off all your door panels? Too much time and effort and expense if you hire it done.

Would not buy another one.
Mirror monitor not very good. Can't see backup picture during day light. You have to hold your hand over the top of the mirror to see the image. You get what you pay for.
