My horse gets fly spray applied daily. That gets very expensive very quickly. I saw this while I was ordering a few other things. I also ordered another natural fly spray. This was so reasonable and I like the natural part. The other spray worked "okay", but not enough to buy again. This stuff though, worked great! It smells wonderful too! My grey guy is prone to biting flies on his legs. At the end of the day, his legs are covered in bloody specs from all of the bites. It had been a big problem for years. This stuff seems to have eliminated the biting flies altogether. I have since bought a few more bottles. I definitely recommend it!
I have been using Zero-Byte spray for a couple of years because I try to use natural instead of chemical sprays for my and my horse's sake. Of course, it doesn't last as long as the chemicals, but I am able to respray during the day. It has a pleasant smell. I'm glad SmartPak stocks it in gallons as well as the smaller sizes.
This is the only fly spray that works on my horse. Unlike other Pyranha products, this does not burn my horse or have near as many chemicals. 100% Recommend to anyone.
I have tried so many different kinds of fly sprays. This is the only spray I use in my training barn of 10 horses. None of them have any skin reactions, definitely keeps the flies away, and isn't super oily like other sprays. It definitely has a smell that you will either love or hate!
Used it on a trail ride in South Carolina on trails which were low lands and after heavy rains the mosquitoes were plentiful. It worked to keep my horse comfortable.
This is the only fly spray I've found that works for the big nasty black horse flys. My horse will buck if one of these lands and bites his butt. Not all that fun. Been riding for over 40 years now and used repelx for many years. Get this it works.
On my 2nd bottle and I've noticed that is very effective. Also doesn't irritate or dry my thoroughbred's sensitive skin and I feel good about using it rather than other products that seem too harsh or unhealthy. Plus it smells nice. I highly recommend it!
This fly spray has been a huge life saver for my horse. He is allergic to fly bites, gnat bites, you name it he is allergic to that bug. We have tried fly sprays only to have him break out in hives due to being not only allergic the bugs but also the ingredients in the fly sprays. I tried this as a last resort to having him on Dex for the whole spring and summer. I have to say that this works great. I do also have him on SmartPak's bug away feed through. I spray him every night or every other night depending on the weather. It smells good and his coat is super shiny.
I bought this as I heard that bees do not like peppermint. I have a problem with bees around the barn and paddocks coming for the water and hay. My horse got stung so after some research I tried this fly spray along with my other spray. It seems to work as I have not had any issues since with the bees around the horses.
The scent of this is really good. Fresh and like wintergreen. When I spray it someone says, that smells good. I use natural sprays because permethins and pyrethins can cause nerve damage. I think it's worth it that you have to put on more often. But that you do. It works great initially but isn't as long lasting. And with any natural spray one of my horses gets flaky skin after being in the sun with the spray from the oil base. This works as good as the other natural sprays for a much better price.
