I've always loved Pyrex for oven use. This one does come with the red lid. Unlike my last one, this has handles which are very convenient. It has less of a stick quality when used and afterward cleans up easily when soaked with hot water. Because it is glass, it does not scratch when any type of utensils are used. Pyrex is always a win/win. The ONLY downside is you cannot drop it from any height onto a hard surface or it will shatter and break into a lot of pieces.
I love the fact that it has a lid and there's little places on the side where you can hold onto it. I did not realize it was gonna have that. I really like that part. It helps me make the best cheesecakes or so my daughter says.
I absolutely love it. It's so easy to just cook in it and then when it cools off put the lid on and put it in the fridge. Also love the fact it has handles for you to be able to grab and go
This little 8x8 baking dish is perfect for making winter stuff like lasagne %26 casseroles, w/o making enough to feed an Army with my 9x13 glass pan. It's everything I expect from Pyrex. There is some reassuring heft to the glass, but it's not heavy. When removed from a hot oven, I realize I need to let this cool off for at least a half hour before I can even think about putting this glass 8x8 pan in the fridge. (Made that mistake once, put it in the fridge too hot and it cracked into pieces in my hands. I won't do that twice!) Love that I don't need to wrap this pan in aluminum foil; it comes with a really nice, snug fitting lid! This suits my neat freak character and is less wasteful than throwing out used, mucky, pricey $$ pieces of aluminum foil. This isn't my first one. But my 9x13 Pyrex glass pan didn't come a lid. Pyrex Glass pans are easy to clean and properly cared for, last me for years. I just needed a smaller one, and now, I have one. Happy camper!
Love love love these. The handles are great and it's the perfect size with a lid !!
This Pyrex casserole is perfect size %26 weight. Love the handles so there's sure grip. And it was packed with 3 layers so not even a chip!
Love the lid and the spacious “handles” make it so much safer to move in/out of oven, etc. The shipping package protection was AMAZING! Thank you!
I just used it for the first time to make a casserole., and I really like the way it bakes evenly! I can see how versatile it would be to take to a church luncheon h, etc.
Retired all my metal baking dishes and switched to all glass. This dish bakes foods well and the cover fits nice and tightly. LOVE the handles. Perfect for this senior
Unfortunately the box was damaged during delivery and upon opening, the red plastic cover was broken and unusable. I can still use the glass pan. Walmart, maybe better packaging? FedEx, not so rough?
