I bought this 100% calcium chloride pellets to refill moisture absorbers placed throughout my home to absorb excessive moisture out of bedrooms, closets etc. Live in a high moisture State and these refill pellets are the only thing that will absorb moisture and keep house, RV and basement low in moisture if refilled when full. Seems to be an excellent ice melter as well for folks in the Miwest or North U.S.

This brand of calcium chloride is fantastic! I've purchased many in the past that as they have sat in my garage during the winter, they have clumped and become unusable. This is still in perfect condition from the day I purchased it and it works so well!

we use it as a DIY indoor dehumidifier. it works fantastically. it also comes in very handy if we happen to get snow or ice in the winter time

I use it to raise my pool Calcium Hardness and for the money it does a good job.

I'm sure it is a good at getting rid of ice but unfortunately it has melded into a bunch of big lumps that take major hammer beatings to break up. Totally not usable on ice.
