These make a great snack, and they're so chewy. They come in three flavors...my favorite, Chocolate, then Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Oats with Raisins. I couldn't believe how many there was in a box (58) and because they are individually wrapped in foil, they stay so fresh. They do live up to their name.
If my memory serves me correctly, there used be a advertising slogan that touted a product as tasting great - but still being less filling. That would apply to these Quaker Granola Bars. These are sized to be a 100 calorie snack. The size is perfect for a child's school lunch or for a snack for any other person watching their caloric intake. Often granola bars pack in double or triple the calories. That's ok if you are using them as a trail snack while backpacking or even as a meal replacement on the go. Quaker has quality control down to a science as well. Whether you are talking about chocolate chips, raisins, or peanut butter chips, they are spread evenly enough that you get the expected taste and texture in every bite. We would definitely recommend these!
My kids love these bars! We put them in their lunch boxes everyday. These chewy scrumptious granola bars are a great snack for the gym, school, work, we take them everywhere. Whenever my mom or I take the kiddos in the car, we always keep some on hand. Happy kids- happy mom! They are 100% made from whole grain rolled oats, and have real chocolate chips and other yummy flavors. There is no fructose corn syrup.
I used to loathe granola bars. They were gritty and sort of tasteless. When Quaker Oats, a brand many of us all know and trust, introduced "Quaker Chewy Granola Bars",my love of granola grew. I had a chance to review the 58 count variety pack of 90 gram bars and my love grew even more... There , in one box, were three of the greatest flavors..."Oatmeal Raisin", "Chocolate Chip", and my favorite, "Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip." Each features the chewy, yet crunchy taste of granola and the flavors burst through like an explosion. Each bar provides a total caloric intake of , get this, 100. That's it...100 calories per bar. Tasty, healthy, and quality. What more can you ask of a granola bar?
The Quaker Chewy Granola Bars are an excellent choice for a healthy, filling snack. They are the perfect size - small but large enough to hold off hunger for several hours. I use them as a snack between meals or as dessert after dinner! They come in oatmeal, chocolate chip and peanut butter and although I thought the oatmeal would be my favorite I like the chocolate chip best. All three bars have 90-100 calories, 3g of fat, 70-90g sodium, 17g carbohydrate, 7g sugar, 1-2g protein and the chocolate chip and peanut butter have 1g of fiber. The oatmeal has a trace amount of fiber. They are soft and chewy and a bit crumbly but not overly sweet. I had to fast for a blood test and I took one with me to eat afterwards. It was perfect because it stopped the lightheaded feeling and filled me up until I got home to have a meal. I recommend these chewy bars to anyone who would like a healthier alternative for snacking or dessert. They are a good item to carry in your car or your bag so you will never be stranded somewhere without something to eat.
My husband doesn't like oatmeal but he likes these Quaker Chewy Granola Bars. I love them also. You just can't beat the taste and enjoyment you get for only 90-100 calories. They make a great little sweet snack while watching TV at night. Almost like a desert. The chocolate chip ones are loaded with chocolate and will quench your appetite for chocolate. The chocolate chip peanut butter ones are very mild on the peanut butter taste. In fact they taste a lot like the chocolate chip ones. The Oatmeal Raisin ones resemble a soft oatmeal raisin cookie in taste. I only found 2 raisins in each bar. Be careful when you bite into the bars. They crumble very easily. Be ready to catch the droppings. I have found it is better to just break off bite sized pieces and pop them into my mouth.
I just love the chewy goodness of these granola bars by Quaker. My family really appreciates the different flavors in the variety pack. My favorite has to be the oatmeal raisin. It's packed with so much flavor! I love the taste of the raisins mixed in with the whole oats. The whole chocolate chips in the peanut butter and the chocolate chip bars, they're the favorites of my grandchildren. These bars are so convenient. There is always one in my purse, just in case I need a tasty pick me up. I put them in lunch boxes, and I also keep one in my gym bag,and the diaper bag. Great for outings, and in the car when the kids are getting restless. They are delicious and nutritious snacks for the whole family to enjoy!
This review is for the bulk variety pack of 58 bars. This is an assortment of the standard sized bars .84 ounces, found in the smaller packages. Strangely, you get 22 bars each of Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, but only 14 Oatmeal Raisin. The price for all the bars (in the smaller packages) are the same, so not sure why they are divided up like that. The bars average around 3g of fat, 80g of sodium and 7g of sugars. There are no trans fats, not even the hidden partially hydrogenated kind. While these aren`t exactly a health food, they are probably more nutritious than cookies. They all clock in around the magic 100 calories per serving as well. I should mention they also taste good! Moist and chewy, not dry and crunchy, they make a handy quick snack. I like the peanut butter ones, which could use a little more peanut butter flavor I think. They are stacked loosely in the large box, which is marked -Not for retail sale- If the price works out to be a bargain, and you don`t mind the 6 less oatmeal bars, then you won`t be disappointed in the taste or convenience of the larger package.
Quaker makes three Chewy Granola bars and I had to try each one. They are all 0.84 ozs. (24 grams), which is a good snack size and for lunch or hiking packs. On each bar package, there is a ' Chewy Challenge' printed that can stimulate one's imagination. The Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip bar is 100 calories. The Oatmeal Raisin bar contains 90 calories and the Chocolate Chip bar is 100 calories. I like that they are easy to eat and pleasant to chew. The Oatmeal Raisin bar has plump raisins in it and I like that, it is easily my favorite. The Peanut Butter Chocolate bar has lots of chocolate chips but I didn't find enough peanut butter flavor to satisfy my craving for peanut butter. The Chocolate Chip bar contains plenty of chocolate chips. All the bars contain whole grain rolled oats, brown sugar and whole grain brown rice flour listed among the ingredients. They are really portable and easy to take along whenever you need a quick snack. I keep a couple in my purse whenever I am out. They are good and they are healthy so I think it's an ideal snack for anyone that enjoys granola bars.
I remember these as a kid and I love them. They still taste good to this day. They seem smaller than they use to be. I got to try this box of Quaker Chewy Granola Bars Variety Pack for free from Walmart Spark Review for my honest opinion about them. This box came with 58 granola bars. There are 22 chocolate chip bars, 22 peanut butter chocolate chip bars and 14 oatmeal raisin bars. My husband likes the oatmeal raisin the best and my son and I love the chocolate chip and peanut butter and chocolate chip bars. Thank you Walmart Spark Reviewer. Here is a couple pictures to show you all! We all recommend. These would be great also in your kids lunch boxes or just as a treat after school or whenever!
