This was a great option to for trash and recycling to fit in my kitchen. It's easy to keep clean and quickly wipe down. You can remove just the trash or just the recycling. Of course, each container is smaller than the typical if it was a standalone but with a decent amount being recycled now, it works. The lid closes completely, but not too fast (doesn't slam shut when you release the pedal). The pedal is completely functional as one would expect. I would purchase it again.

Super smooth opening and closing, silent too. Probably would need a special sized garbage bag if you are particular. Doesn't hit back wall and seems like it'd be simple to clean.

Great, easy to use, step on lid to open, 2 section garbage/recycling can. The only negative would be the size as it fills p really quickly-in particular the recycle portion (for us)! But that’s kind of on us because we purchased this size because we needed it to fit in a closet!

I received the Qualiazero 16 Gallon Dual Compartment trash can to give my honest opinion. First off, this is the coolest-looking trash can. It almost looks like a portable refrigerator at first glimpse. Unlike our previous trash can, the Qualiazero trash is hands-free, which means it opens by simply stepping on the foot pedal. The other impressive function of the Qualiazero trash can is it is stainless steel, and the lid slowly closes without slamming. Not only is it hands-free, but there are two compartments, one for 8-gallon trash and the other for recyclables. If that’s not enough, it comes with one activated carbon odor filter to absorb those terrible odors. Overall, I would recommend the Qualiazero 16 Gallon Dual Compartment trash can to any household because it does what trash cans are supposed to and much more.

A nice size, and so much more convenient to be able to put recycling in the same overall container as trash (two separate 8 gallon boxes inside the stainless can). Have to admit, I was rather worried about going from a 13 gallon trach can to an 8 gallon trash and 8 gallon recycle bin, but it really hasn't changed my routine or ability to dispose of trash. It doesn't seem to fill any faster than the 13 gallon (and frankly, my bags are holding up better now and not ripping! If I had ANY compalint, it would be the fact that I can't open the lid by hand, you HAVE to step on the pedal to open it. There is no lip to grab to open it without stepping on the pedal. Guess I can deal with that!

I like the handles that each trash can has; it makes it easier to lift and remove each compartment. I love that my recyclables can go into one and the trash in the next. My family used to put all the recyclables on the side of my fridge, it was an eyesore an and an embarrassment every time someone came over….not any more!

The 16-gallon capacity is perfect for our household, and the dual compartments for trash and recycling are so convenient. The stainless steel looks sleek and modern in our kitchen. It feels really sturdy and well-made. Definitely a great upgrade from our old bin!

Looks good, so far lid works but I have a problem with inserting trash bags. Since both compartments have handles to lift the buckets they interfere with liners/trash bags and it's hard to keep them secure but invisible from the outside. I can live with that but it's a little frustrating.

not bad, but the top is too heavy so you really have to put all your weight on it to open it. I also prefer having just the top for the bags, instead of a whole bin, which my previous one that broke had. I feel like they fill up so much faster with the whole bin vs just a top thing

Overall it’s a nice looking trash can but there are a few upsets: 1) it came dented brand new out of the box and the box was in mint condition, this tells me there’s a quality control issue. 2) the bin handles are inside the bin and are metal wire so expect your bags/liners to get caught and rip. 3) there are no handles to pick-up and move it. 4) you need to apply pressure in the middle of the step to avoid using a lot of force to open the lid. 5) the lid with the stay-open lock engaged does not open 90°, it is more like 65° The first picture is compared to a common 11 gallon “tall” kitchen step-on trash can
