Quantum QT1000 1000 Watt HPS & MH Dimmable Digital Grow 120V Light Lamp Ballast

I've owned several of the quantum ballasts for a few years now. it's the only brand I buy anymore, as it's the only brand that's lasted. My nextgen actually caught fire and melted almost half of the ballast, and my lumatek stopped working after about a year. I have 8 quantum ballasts (6x1000w and 2x600w and have not had a single problem with any of them. I like being able to dim them for transitioning plants under the bigger lights. This is becoming a more common feature nowadays. The super quiet fans are great too, I've never had any of the heat issues that other users have mentioned. All I really care about is reliability and this product has it. Good experience with VM Innovations too. Super fast shipping and quick responses. My only complaint is that I received the first one as the product box with shipping label. Not only do I dislike having my product packaged improperly, but I also prefer discretion in what is being delivered. In their defense though, I requested the next one be shipped in a brown box and they happily did so.

Great ballest for my indoor vegtable garden. Easy to set up, only negative is the packing on the unit.

I bought a total of 5 of these from VM (my first one and then later bought 4 more). When I purchased the Four, 2 were new and 2 were obviously used/returned by someone else. The corners were bent and the electrostatic plastic was torn; showing signs of usage. Nevertheless they worked. I didnt make a bid deal about it because VM has otherwise always been good to me. Other than that; these babies perform excellently.
