Quatermass and the Pit (aka Five Million Years to Earth)

This is an excellent horror/science fiction movie. Although a 60's film really does not need to be on blu-ray, this is hard to find on video, at least not coded to be watchable in North America. The effects are good for the 60's, and the sets, acting and story are very good. This was a big budget remake of an older film which was part of a series. A group of scientists try to find out the mystery of an object discovered underneath London. The city is anxious to get back to work expanding the subway. The reporters want to beat each other to the story. The army believes it is unexploded ordnance from the Blitz. But is it something far older, and much more dangerous? Don't miss this, it is among the top 20 horror movies ever.

Great movie

This is an Hammer Films movie and has been difficult to find for a long time. But this Blu-ray remaster is excellent. An sf movie with some thought behind it. Although don't be deceived there is nowhere near that much cleavage in the movie as you see on the front cover. Really excellent video transfer.

I've wanted to buy this old classic scifi for years. After a false start and lies from DeeVeeDeeLLLC, Walmart came through, accurately and quickly. Thank you Walmart Customer Service

Blue Ray quality was okay, got the movie for nostalgia reasons.

From the late 1960's, a Hammer Films Production. Also known as "5 Million Years To Earth" it is an interpretation of a 1950's BBC television serial. It goes beyond science fiction, it has drama, mystery, suspense, horror, supernatural elements, and ancient aliens, from Mars.
