I purchased this carburetor for my 69 dodge superbee 383 motor and it runs so much better and eliminated the excess fuel smell. It also found lost HP and that was a huge plus. I replaced the Holley 750 double pumper that was on there and tried to jet it down and tune that carb but just couldn't get it right. this carb is a way better choice for my application. My engine isn't completely stock either. I used to think that I needed a bigger carb to run what I had but that is false info. plus I can always jet up if I need too. I put this carb on and turn the needles 2 full turns and she runs great.
I bought this carburetor for a 302 with GT40 heads,to my surprise everything was perfect right out of the box.just had to adjust idle.
Stock 318 with headers. Works great on cold mornings. Easy to tune lean. Glad I got it.
i bought this carb to run on a cra jegs race car removed the choke put it on the car would not idle played with it for some time still no idle removed it replaced it with a carb that has ben on the shelf for years run and idle fine. put a strate edge on the new carb base no were near being flat .
Very bad choice had to hire a guy to adjust it before I could use it I should have bought a edelbrock!
