These pans are a rich pumpkin color and of display quality. I love the fact that they are really deep, nonstick and made of sturdy construction. The silicone handles make holding the pans easy and cool to the touch. The lids are made of tempered glass to avoid shattering if dropped. They cook evenly and are easy to clean. I used warm soapy water and they cleaned with ease. I did find that I had to use some oil on a paper towel to keep the food from sticking, but no cooking spray. The pans are transferable into an oven up to 400 degrees. The company does suggest not to put them in the dishwasher, due to harsh detergents and extreme hot water. The manufacturer also suggests to avoid using extreme heat while cooking. They can only be used on electric, gas or glass ranges, not for use on induction stoves. These pans are great for everyday use and for a large family.
This is a six piece cookware collection that comes with four shatter resistant glass lids. I like the earthy design, plus the hard enamel that is so easy to clean makes this a winner. Dual rivets make the cookware feel sturdy but the material is to lightweight. The edges of the pots are not rimmed and smooth as I would like. I did not count the two utensils in my rating because they are basically a bonus and the spatula will not flip a hamburger or much else. It's just to flimsy. Also you cannot put this cookware in the dishwasher because it will void the warranty but just use warm soapy water and it's clean. Just remember never use nonstick cooking spray and this cookware will be great. The covered sauté pan is perfect for jambalaya and spaghetti. I cooked both, then allowed to cool and heated each in the oven at 350 degrees. They cooked evenly with no hot spots. I also cooked an egg in the 8.5 inch skillet and it was a breeze because it was sliding around on the non-stick coating. The lids and handles are stainless steel and silicone but can still get very hot. The bonus is the height on the lid handles, they are high enough for your pot holder or glove to slide in. Very nice. The color was a nice surprise, it's not a bright orange but more muted like baked pumpkin. The nonstick finish is listed as espresso colored and that's a plus. I have owned plenty of cookware in my life and I have always received a manual from the manufacturer but with Rachael Ray Cookware all I got was a leaflet and that was a letdown. One side note; there is a warning that anyone with a ceramic or a glass stovetop should not use enameled cookware.
This set of cookware is by far the best set of cookware I have ever used. I am a stay at home wife and mother of 2. I used this cookware the very first night it arrived. Absolutely NOTHING sticks or burns in this cookware. And, the design of the large pot kept the boiling water from boiling over when cooking pasta. The lids are a perfect fit. The handles on both the cookware and the lids always remain cool throughout the cooking process. I absolutely love the deep skillet with the lid for cooking my pasta sauces and meats. No more sauce splatters on my stove top! And, the utensils are awesome. I was a little skeptical of these at first, especially the spatula. I thought these would just be more utensils to get lost in my drawer due to being flimsy. Boy, was I wrong. These are very durable. And, the spatula, well, it makes my life so much easier flipping pancakes and French toast for my kids. No more messed up pancakes that slide off my spatula anymore. And, the ease of cleaning these. So easy to wash and dry. No scrubbing necessary. And, last, but certainly not least, the color. I was pleasantly surprised. They are more of a brown with a hint of orange rather than the bright orange I was expecting. This cookware is a wonderful addition to my kitchen and will be used for years to come!
Absolutely love this Rachael Ray Cucina Porcelain Enamel Nonstick 12-Piece cookware set. I thought the color might be a bit much but, they go wonderfully in the kitchen. My kitchen is decorated in apples & red appliances. The pumpkin color is not a bright orange as one would think, when you think pumpkin. Its an awesome color. I've attached 2 pics , hope you can see the beautiful color. Handles are sturdy, attached strongly, and very comfortable Glass lids that fit well Nonstick coating seems to hold up to use well. The perfect assortment of sizes. The variety of pans and skillets included in the set--A dutch oven, a 1 quart saucepan, 3 quart saucepan, 3 quart skillet with lid, an 8 inch skillet and a ten inch skillet. The two utensils are okay. I don't use them around heat. Although, they do work for cold salads and such. Thats just my personal preference. You will love them.
This is really all the pots and pans you need. All of the handles have a silicon coating that protects your hands from heat. These can go from stove to oven too. The see-through lids come in handy so you don't have to lift the lids to see whats going on in there. I was skeptical when the instructions say that no oil or fat is necessary when cooking, but I found it to be true. The surface is non-stick, and to clean.. just wipe! The spatula and spoon that come with this set, are just ok. They are "bendy", so if you are making candy or anything thick you'll need a more substantial utensil. The surface on these seem to be hard and very durable. I think these will last a lifetime if taken care of. My favorite part of these is the cleaning. No more soaking overnight, no more scrubbing burnt on food. I'm finally throwing out my old stuff! I included a short video clip of the non stick surface, "egg flipping" with no oils or fats on the right of this review.
I have used Rachel Rae cookware for over 7 years. When I saw the purple I had to have it. So pretty. I wash by hand and only use silicone. My older set I would hit the edges with a wood or bamboo spoon and the edges started to peel. I also got lazy and was putting it in the dishwasher. So far no issues with only using my silicone utensils and hand washing. Lighter weight for easier handling as well! Love it!
This is a note- worthy collection by Rachael Ray and I like the design of this set. Included in this set is 8.5 in/22cm skillet, 10in/25cm skillet, 1qt./0.9 covered saucepan, 3qt./2.8l covered saucepan, 3qt./2.8l covered sauté, 6qt/5.7l covered stockpot, a slotted spatula and a slotted spoon. The lids are made of shatter resistant glass and they help keep in heat and moisture. Each handle is made of stainless steel and silicone which makes them easy to grip. The hard enamel color is pumpkin, it's easy to clean, promotes fast, even heating and they say that it withstands temperatures to 400f/204c but if you read the pamphlet that is enclosed they suggest that the setting be on low to medium never on high. Always be sure to read everything. I must remember tell you about the dark colored nonstick coating. It's free from PFOA, which means no harmful chemicals. Never use metal utensils, scoring pads or abrasive cleaners when cleaning. You will not want to hide the beautiful cookware in the cabinet. Cooking is half the enjoyment you will get seeing you set each day as if will also bring warmth and color to your kitchen. When your cookware is in view it an interactive work of art.
The Rachael Ray Cucina 12 piece set includes an 8.5” skillet, a 10” skillet, 1 qt covered saucepan, 3 qt covered saucepan, 3 qt covered sauté pan, 6 qt covered stockpot, a slotted spatula, and a slotted spoon. The hard enamel cookware is oven safe to 400 degrees F. There is no PFOA and no lead. I really like the larger 3 qt covered sauce pan, this size is more useful than a 2 qt pan for boiling vegetables or making soup for a few people. The sizes of the pans are clearly marked on the bottom which is helpful. This set of cookware is hand wash only and that should not be difficult due to the non-stick coating except for the fact that the rivets are not coated on the inside of the pans. So that part of the pan may require a little more attention when cleaning. I really like the spoon and spatula that came with this set. They are sturdier than other utensils I have seen for non-stick cookware. They both have grooves in the handle on the top and underneath for grip. They are not flimsy and my only criticism is that the slotted spoon should be solid instead so I can scoop out all the delicious gravy or what have you. These pans look nice and have a good weight to them. You can only cook on low to medium heat with these non-stick pans which to me is the only negative.
The Rachael Ray 12 pc cookware set includes two saucepans, a stockpot, and three skillets, two kitchen tools, this set will allow you to perform most food preparation such as simmering, searing, browning , saute, boiling and blanching.. I really enjoy the deep skillet for doing fried chicken. The comfortable soft handles makes it easy to grip even when your hands are wet.The double riveted handles provide extra strength, and the shatter-resistant glass lids really do lock in heat and moisture. The cookware heats evenly over the entire cooking surface, "no hot-spots", I have been cooking for a very long time but even if your just starting out this is the kind of quality cookware you want in your kitchen. I love the color "pumpkin orange" its so fall..I know this is the part of cooking that all cooks dread.."clean up" not with this cookware it was a breeze These clean up so easy with just a mild detergent and hot water you will be done in no time and ready to start cooking again. I'm sure I will enjoy cooking with this cookware for years to come....
This 12 piece non-stick cookware set is a brownish orange in color. It's enamel with a pretty glossy finish. It's easy to clean. Just don't put pots and pans in the dish-washer. Dish-washers can ding up the non-stick surface and once that happens your non-stick surface seems to wear away quickly. Hand wash in warm soapy water, rinse then towel dry. The lids and plastic utensils would be ok though. This cookware is oven safe up to 400 degrees. Not sure about the lids. The stainless steel and silicone handles would be fine but not sure about the glass even-though it's tempered. I'm too scared to try it. The handles on the glass lids are dual riveted on the inside and out as well as on the pots and pan handles. The lids also have a clear silicone gasket between the rivets and glass surface on both sides. Nice for locking in steam. Also have matching colored silicone sleeve on the stainless steel handles. I really like the lids. This set consists of: 8-1/2” fry pan. They measured from outer rim to outer rim. The actual inside cooking surface is 6”. Perfect size for omelets. 10” fry pan. Actual inside cooking surface is 7-1/4”. (If you're a family of more than 2 you may want to look for a set with larger fry pans.) 1qt. sauce pan with lid-perfect for boiling eggs. 10qt. saucepan with lid 6qt. stockpot with lid 3qt. saute pan with lid 1 matching plastic slotted spatula and 1 matching plastic slotted spoon-hard plastic and kind of cheap quality. I boiled eggs in the 1qt. saucepan on my glass cooktop stove. When finished I inspected the bottom of the pan and noticed some dark brown spots. Not sure it was from cooked –on food from the burner but the glossy enamel finish made it easy to wipe off with a wet cloth. Couldn't believe it. This set comes with a lifetime limited warranty, also very nice. I would have given this a better rating but was somewhat disappointed about the small fry pans and the cheap quality of utensils. Other than that I really like the set.
