Rada Cutlery French Chef's Knife

Best knives ever! I have been using these knives for 20 years! I buy them and share with my friends and family now they are hooked!!!

As a trained cook, my knives are an investment, so when it came time to add to my small, trusted collection, I did considerable research. I wanted to support an American company with this durable purchase, so my search almost immediately led to the Rada website. The descriptions of their knives' construction and the longevity of the company both impressed me favorably so I ordered a few tools, including a chef knife. Though the blade is thinner than on a typical commercial knife, making it quite light in weight, this is compensated by the razor sharpness of the blade, its ample size and acute curve, and the ergonomic shape of the handle, giving the force of the blade's movement great effectiveness. I am able to make the most whisper thin of cuts with this knife with ease, and the blade has remained factory sharp even under intensive daily use for several weeks. Diligent manual cleansing and drying with a soft cloth is recommended to prevent staining of the blade or damaging it with automatic dishwasher detergents. If you've ever owned a Shun type knife, the care is comparable and not fussy. I purchased knives with resin handles, which withstand occasional dishwasher washing better than the steel handle versions, and I'm glad Rada offers this option. All in all, the chef knife is delight to use and I am very pleased with it.

these are really great knives at a great price. I have an expensive set (10X the price of RADA) that I also love but am afraid to let anyone else touch them. My RADA are great and inexpensive enough to not worry about them getting damaged. They are also guaranteed!

I am completely satisfied with the quality, style, and function of this knife. My only regret is not buying it sooner! I highly recommend RADA products. I have used the peelers for many years. This was my first purchase of RADA cutlery. I will be buying more! And it's made in USA

I've had steak knives and a tomato knife for several years and they are still sharp and used often. Decided to try some of the food preparation knives as I can't afford some of the top known brands. Rada keeps a 5 star product at an afforable price . Love to give these as gifts also.

I've never had a rada knife rust but this knife got a rust spot in the first week of use. I cut veggies, rinsed off the knife, left it to wash the next day and it had several rust spots the next morning. It's a sharpe knife and other than what I mentioned I like it.

Very sharp! Which is the reason for ordering Rada, but we have only had small pairing knives and the tomato knife. Due to the long lasting blade and sharpness I wanted more. I'm disappointed with the chefs knife as the handle just isn't suited for larger hands, they have a smaller grip and the blade is thin and feels flimsy. Also I believe due to the lack of indents in the side of the blade, food like potatoes stick to the blade due to “suction”. Would like to see a bit of a redesign with larger easier to handle grips and more balanced large knives.

This is a great utility tool i use it more than all my others , so i have 2 this one. My hands are small and thin and the knife does the work.
