This is the perfect remote control car for toddlers. There is two buttons forward and turn. This was a gift for my three year old and she has it all figured out. She can even turn the train/remote off and on by herself. The train and remote are smaller than expected but it is the appropriate size for a child not teen/adult. It needs batteries. No charging option. The kids love it. They fight over it. Great gift.
It is easy for a little kid to operate. It just goes forward and backs up with a turn. Just two buttons, nothing too crazy. Both of my kids like to mess with it. So far our dog has not gone after it but she most likely will. It however can be quite noisy.
My granddaughter and I had tons of fun with Wilson the train. Once I finally got it out of the package because it was really tied down. It also uses 3AAA batteries for the remote and 3 for the train. It goes pretty fast and plays music. You can navigate it where you want and it can spin around in circles. Great fun!
This is a fun toy. It is well made and keeps my little boys occupied. The sound it makes is amazing; it is not too loud or annoying, just a fun sound. It uses 6 AAA batteries that are not included; be sure to get long-lasting batteries so they don't go out easily. The remote is easy for any child 3 years and up to use. My boys have been doing well with the remote; it was very easy for them to figure out. This train runs well on both wood and carpet floors. One thing I really like about this Chuggington train is that if it hits an object, such as a wall, it will kind of bounce back off the wall, so it doesn't get damaged. We are very happy with this toy, and it did not disappoint us.
Seeing this item brought back so many memories of the old cartoon. I think my oldest was most excited to see this toy haha. But it's very nice, sturdy and easy for little hands to operate. Simple control functions.. Be sure to have your batteries on deck because it does require quite a few. Overall good product.
Chuggington's radio control wilson is a cute toy to add to our collection of RC toys. He has noises (bells, short theme song, a horn whistle and the sound of a chugging train) and is able to turn 360 degrees nonstop if you want him to. Wilson is able to easily get over the divider to get from our kitchen into the living room which is hardwood flooring. When you turn the remote on, bells chime. When driving straight a little snippet from the Chuggington theme song plays. Hit the turn button and the horn sounds. It says the remote works for 44 feet, but they follow the train around, so there is never much distance between Wilson and the remote. I think this is better suited for 2-5 years of age with very simple remote with only 2 buttons that are very large with pictures of arrows to show what the button will do. The just 4-year-old has not mastered driving anything remote controlled yet and was very excited she could actually work the controller and move how she wanted, so she tends to dominate control of this toy. The 5-year-old has mastered driving RC cars and jeeps the last couple years with more complex remotes but he will still take his turn with Wilson. I do wish there was a softer setting for the volume as at times when doing school work it is hard to hear if a younger child is playing in the same area.
My 4 year old grand child whose mostly at my home, really enjoyed playing with this. She quickly learned to navigate the proper buttons. This was her first time ever playing with a remote controlled toy so she was very excited to be able to do so. Both the train and the remote require 3 AAA batteries. Thankfully, I keep a supply of all size batteries on hand. The battery compartment was easy to open and inserting the batteries was effortless. Like most kid toys, both the train and the remote are made of very durable plastic which allow each to take on even the roughest the roughest of kids. They both fit into a child's hands with no issue. With this in mind, the toy should last a long time. My home has wood flooring throughout. So there was no issue of the train running into any surface it could easily move on. I'm not sure if it will run smoothly on carpet. It does move relatively fast when in operation. But it's a speed comfortable for a child. All the adults on the room took a moment to step into their childlike mind and played with the train for a few moments. Everyone was entertained while playing with it. My grandchild didn't have any issues with turning the train or the remote on or off. This feature will help to maintain the battery for prolonged use for the child to enjoy. Once the child is finished playing with the toy, it is easy for the child to put away because it will not take up much space on a shelf, toy bin or toy box. Even if it is left out in a room, it is small and should not really be a huge problem.
This Chuggington Radio controlled Wilson is the cutest little thing. It moves about equally well on our carpet as well as the wood flooring. The Controller is very easy for the littlest ones to use. Straight forward arrow to move ahead and a turn arrow to make Wilson move in a circle either complete or half circle to continue on the way that you want him to go. Very easy instructions and takes 6 aaa batteries.
My 5 yr old loves her train. It takes 6 AAA batteries not included. Controls move toward and turns around. Makes quarter turns or if you hold the button it spins. She loves making her train spin til he dizzy. It works well on out wood floors but I haven't tried it on carpet. I fear it will get stuck on it. My 5 yr old was able to figure out the controls in just minutes. She did get him stuck a few times but she just picked him up and moved him. Wilson really zooms across the floor so watch your feet lol. Over all its a fun train and great first remote control toy.
Got this for my 2 year old granddaughter and she loves it. She finally has a remote control toy like her big sissy that she can actually drive. It took her a little while to learn how to actually make it go where she wanted but she figured it out. Sometimes she presses both buttons at the same time but it still goes good enough for her. Only thing I don't like about it is, when left alone for a bit, Wilson shuts itself down to save the battery, which is great. Problem is, you have to manually switch it off, then back on again for her to be able to play again. If your baby is anything like mine, she plays with a toy, leaves it for a bit then wants to play with it again. I wish it would come back on again when buttons on the remote are pressed again. Other than that, it's great for the younger ones who don't have many remote control toys they can actually work properly.
