The Radius Cove Cardamom dental floss is one of a kind. I love how the floss expands between teeth to catch tough plaque buildup. The scent/flavor is light but refreshing and is even liked by my youngsters. Definitely purchase a multi pack to be sufficiently stocked across all bathrooms!
This sponge floss will most likely be my new go-to floss. I'd previously used Glide dental tape. The space between some of my teeth is very narrow—ribbon floss was more comfortable to use than typical string floss. Looking for an environmentally friendly alternative, I tried a silk floss (not Radius brand) that'd been recommended to me. But I found the floss broke easily. So I decided to give this sponge floss a try. It doesn't pinch like string floss. In fact, it feels softer than the ribbon floss I used to use. I like that the dispenser is cardboard and that it's manufactured by a smaller company.
I've been searching for MANY YEARS for a replacement for oral B bridge floss. this is SPONGE FLOSS AND TRULY GRABS THE FOOD AND BIO FILM OFF MY TEETH. excellent taste /value at 6 pkg
Love the scent of cloves but taste is not overpowering
I bought this brand, which costs 3x the price of store-brand waxed floss, because Consumer Reports recommends it as a safer floss choice. The string is plastic-free and the wax contains no harmful chemicals. No plastic in the packaging either. Love all of that, but I have a couple of molars that easily shred this floss. I see my dentist soon and will ask her to smooth the contact between those teeth. Maybe then this floss will work better. Thanks for carrying this, Walmart.
Shame on me for not reading the product description closer. I didn't realize the floss is fuzzy when not pulled tight. Because I have a permanent retainer, I can't use it in my lower teeth where threading is required. Other than that, it's a great product.
Note: the picture that shows up first at Walmart shows "Pure Silk" unscented, but what I actually purchased is the Peppermint scented, and it is *not* "pure silk" - it's made of nylon. But the advantages are that it is very strong, and easy to use, has nice "oils", and tastes good, and is really easy to hold tight, and comes in a paper box rather than plastic. It's a strange look: it comes out the box sort of fluffy, and when you pull it tight it becomes a fine string, but with good friction on the teeth. My teeth have many close gaps, and it still works well for those. The only disadvantage is that it's twice as expensive as the other floss I generally used before. (I purchased a pack of three.) But unless you're needing to pinch pennies, that's probably not a big deal. I think I'll try my old floss as well, and decide next time I need floss which one to purchase...
I'm only giving it 4/5 simply because I was obsessed with the cranberry that was discontinued :( It's really gentle and doesn't feel like more harm than good like most flosses.
The floss packaging is very flimsy. The floss is not waxed and it will become very spongy after you remove from the package to floss. I like the concert of non toxic floss.
Walmart sent me a DAMAGED, RIPPED OPEN item and now expects me to go out of my way to return it even though it's useless and costs less than 5 dollars….. I ended up buying it elsewhere bc I needed it right away and the item is terrible anyway. It felt like flossing with a strand of hair!! I had to double it to even feel like it was doing anything. Horrible packaging, too. Just awful all around. Dr. Tungs is way better, but still gross cardboard packaging that gets soggy in a wet bathroom with splashes..
