Reminds me of my old icom. Amazing reception sensitivity. You can put it in channels mode and then specify bandwidth or put it in vfo mode which is direct frequency input. Basically it knows what the legal limits are for each bandwidth and if you program it with your ID call, it will automatically regulate the output power. It has a tiny footprint and comes with a screw mounted clip for a belt. USB c port for charging. Antenna is only 1/8 wave so you need a better antenna for more range.

This radio actually covers the specified frequencies. Pretty impressive. It even has frequency find (kind of like (Close Call) on Uniden scanners. Really happy with this radio. The antenna could be a little better. It feels cheap and easily broken.

Feature filled radio, very programable and great price. Works good with another Radtel radio I have but a different model number.

should not be advertised as a police scanner it's just a high class fm radio, if it does those things you have to be familiar and a licensed ham radio operator because there's no programming instructions , but it looks good!

I was expecting a tri-band handheld (144/220/440mhz). This radio does cover these bands along with the civil aviation band and military aviation bands. Unfortunately, there is no AM mode on the UHF military aviation band, which makes the radio useless for listening to military aircraft. Physically, the radio is well constructed, considering it's price. Battery life is excellent, particularly in standby mode. The radio has continuous coverage from around 25 - 600 mhz but doesn't perform particularly well on any band and is practically deaf on some. There is no way to lock the radio to the amateur bands, which is either a good or bad thing, depending on what you intend to use it for. Several online reviews claim that this radio has been tested using various spectrum analyzers and is considered "dirty" with harmonics nearly as strong as the fundamental frequency. This is a deal breaker for me as I don't want to cause harmful interference. I would have returned this radio if the price wasn't so low.
