The smell is ungodly but it works
This stuff could be substituted for pepper spray with how pungent the smell is but for a less toxic alternative to quickly keep ants at bay I'll take it

Has a kind of strong smell but not so chemical like like other's. Definitely kills on contact but doesn't deter them from entering where you have originally sprayed Over all I'm pretty impressed with product.
