Bye, bye flys!

AmyB May 7, 2023

RAID Disposable Fly Trap is convenient and easy product to use to get rid of those pesty flys! The directions are easy and clear to understand. You cut the dotted square on top of the product, add water, and hang! Make sure you cut the square to where you are able to pull the top of the plastic top a little out of the bag. There is a little hole for you to loop a string to hang the product (string not included). Add water to the water line and hang! The product does have a smell when you open the product so make sure you hang it away from pets and children.

Really Works!

KellyTN May 23, 2023

I am so impressed with this Raid disposable fly trap! It is so easy to set up. All you have to do is cut the bag along the dotted line and attach a string to the trap. Just pull upwards on the funnel and it locks in. It has a water soluble food-based lure that attracts the flies once you pour water up to the fill line. It's a great product!

Fly bait and trap

Dewcj May 21, 2023

We have had this trap up a little over a week now. At first I was a little concerned cause the first day and a half caught no flies, but after that it was like a fly vacuum. I do like that this brand isn't as smelly as the other leading brands we have tried. You do still catch a smell once in a while and it is vile, but not the constant rotten smell like others. We have it hanging near our garbage bin storage as well as right outside of the garage where we have our baby chicks and gosling, definitely cut down the flies.

Raid fly traps

Sparkfreeby2020 April 28, 2023

This review is for the raid fly traps, I'm not sure why but I thought these were going to be the strip kinds that you hang from the ceiling, but nonetheless they are actually better, I said two of these traps up about 4 days ago, and I've already seen a good bit of flies in the trap, but it is not full-blown summer yet so I cannot give 100% review on actually how many it catches and how well it works and how long it lasts, but I do enjoy the product and raid is a very good company to buy from so I will give this a five-star!

A couple of tips

PyattiG May 28, 2023

We get a lot of black flies at our lake house. They annoy the heck out of me, especially if I have any food or drink near me. So I have been buying these and they work. They dont get rid of all the flies, but they do help. I know this because I end up with a stinky bag full of flies. Here is what you need to know,… 1. The instant you open the bag, you will smell the attractant. It smells like a potty that got peed in all night long and not flushed. 2. You need to place it away from where you sit, because the smell attracts the flies. 3. When the wind blows your way, you will smell it and trust me,….it gets stronger with age. 4. DISPOSAL,…..then you have to throw it away,…pee pee smell and rotting dead bugs. I wear rubber gloves and use a gallon sized zipper storage bag. Put it in the bag and seal it. Then put it in another plastic trash bag, and another and another. Then I drive it to the local trash dump off. If you have trash pick up service, I would do this the night before pick up. 5. It requires you to hang it from a string, which is not included. I used a zip tie and put it in a tree.

It works but must be changed frequently

MsB May 27, 2023

I was amazed about how many flies were in this thing. We left it up for a week outside on the porch . It's completely full. So it works but now we have to change it after a week. Also it doesn't come with string and you have to provide it to hang up. Overall it's a good product and will help kill flies.

Warning! It smells!!!

Agomoljak May 22, 2023

Please read ALL instructions before you just tear into the package! It's a little weird to open and whatever you do, please don't put your nose near the opening! The yellow powder on the inside smells like rotting meat. When you add the water it gets worse. The cat came running to see what was going on as I was gagging from the smell. Anyway, You'll also need some sort of string and something to hang it from. It's a little gross and not the most convenient thing to use, but it does catch flies, so I guess it's worth the tradeoff.

Not a great product for household usage.

Ivyhearts72 May 3, 2023

I'm not sure how these are going to help at all since according to the instructions you are not supposed to put them in your outdoor living area but keep them in a sunny place??! They are not very asthetic for in home as they are quite big and bulky so they cannot be hidden if having to be by a window and hung from the ceiling.

THE BEST fly traps on the planet!

Gregory Batista May 2, 2023

Works great attracts a bag full . You just cut the top plastic wrapper to pull up the lid , add water and it's ready! You must have your wire or string to hang it gets heavy , I use wire to hang around my chicken coop. CLOSE LOCK TOP WHEN ITS FULL . I did not think they could get out . I just put the full bag in a plastic bag and a million flies swarmed around . It can smell bad if you leave it up too long Maggots will be in the bag . Great product better than fly strips or rolls of sticky paper by far! NO FLYS ARE AROUND MY HENS , the barn , the chicken coop , the Deck YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW MANY FLYS YOU HAVE !!!!!

Zero stars

Mamaof2 May 8, 2023

If I could give this zero stars I would. Where to begin. The instructions were not clear, so I cut the wrong part and wasted one trying to get one hung up. Then once I got the other hung up it attracted a few gnats- no flies. By the third day it smelled like something had died in our laundry room where I hung it up. I literally almost threw up taking it outside to the trash can, and I do NOT have a weak stomach. These are AWFUL.
