Definitely need to attach on the straight downspout...not the angle one. I haven't installed it yet as we are building a porch roof covered area in which I will install it then. I rated it a 4 because it has not been installed

it is okay. didn't unroll, but maybe we haven't had enough hard rain for it to unroll. The velco pad that goes around the downspout wasn't long enough. One of the zip ties that came with it broke. They barely fit around my downspout and my opening is a 3 x 4 which stated the extension would fit over it. I had to find a couple more zip ties to put on it. So far they seem to be holding the extension in place.

Looks good, seems quality made but the spring parts are so strong it doesn't open when it rains. I live in southern Florida....it rains hard and fast.....very disappointing.

Way to stiff and hard to work with ended up throwing it away

Does not work, too stiff for water to push it through.

Cheap. Does not unroll in the rain like it is supposed to.

Well, as we excitedly awaited the first heavy rain after installing 5 gutter rollout extensions, they proved to be a waste of time & money. An inch of rain in the early morning hours and not one extension worked properly. My husband installed them all according to the directions and they've all failed.

This product did not work as expected at all. The coil spring is so strong it wouldn't uncoil even in a torrential thunderstorm where a lot of water is generated from thunderclouds and the downspout extension would not uncurl all the way and water backed up and poured over the top to the gutter. The spring on the coil is way too strong to be effective.
