Great wax

andyl8 March 9, 2022

Well, if you're up for manually waxing a car (like I am), this stuff works great. I have historically used turtle wax. Compared to that, this stuff seems to shed rain and dirt better. It also seems to be longer lasting between waxes. It goes on easy enough with a cloth.

MUCH better than spray waxes

JustDave March 8, 2022

I've seen some articles on the new Graphene spray waxes, and was happy to have an opportunity to try the Rain-X version. I've used Rain-X products for over 20 years; some with better success than others. This one is a winner. A little background: I drive a black car. I live in Florida. It's garaged when at home, but I do drive in a lot of rain, and wash frequently. I also wax at least a half-dozen times a year. Probably overkill, but I enjoy it. This stuff was very easy to apply, and came off clean. I did a little research, and saw this: “It's great on black paint and can even be used in direct sunlight. Heat and sunlight will make the product cure faster, which in turn allows faster application time.” So, I applied it in direct sunlight on a sunny, 87 degree, March afternoon. Sprayed it on a microfiber cloth, applied to the paint, and let it dry to a slight haze, (supposedly unnecessary). Came off easily, but I could tell that it left a layer of protection. You can even “stack it” in several invisible layers letting it cure for 24hrs in between. With some spray waxes, I was never sure they actually did anything. Definitely not the case here. If you like the water beading effect, you'll love graphene. Tiny little droplets that blow off easily with a leaf blower. Or, you can towel dry like a normal person would. From what I can find, the advantages of graphene over ceramic spray waxes include: Easier application process, less water spotting, reduction in heat absorption (black car - Florida… yeah, I'm in), and longer durability. The advantages over regular spray waxes are even greater. Graphene sprays are claimed to last up to 12 months, while spray waxes and polymers only last up to a couple of weeks. I'll reapply this every few weeks, so I'll never know. I'd say that this is a great option if you want to apply a graphene coating to protect your car paint but don't want to spend a weekend (or longer) applying a full graphene coating.

Bye Bye water spots

Timinorlando March 13, 2022

If you have used RainX on your windshield before you know how easy it is to see through the windshield when it's raining because the rain just rolls off that you barely need wipers. Well, this is RainX for the rest of your car. If you're driving through rain the raindrops just roll off. The only problem I had with the windshield product is it tended to make my windshield foggy after about 3 months. Hopefully that doesn't happen with this product. It's a wax so I doubt it, but I haven't had it long enough to be sure. This wax goes on easy and gives your car a polished wax look. Rain rolls right off so you don't get water spots after rain. That in itself is worth it in my opinion. A towel applicator came with the product.

My new car spray wax

Tufswede March 20, 2022

Rain-X Pro Graphene Spray Wax 23oz - 620184SRP I was very excited to see that Rain-X had come out with a Graphene Spray Wax. I've trusted Rain-X for several products over the years and know they do things right. I have certainly been very pleased with this spray wax and will be purchasing more as I need it, I've been using automotive spray wax for as long as I can remember. It's always been an essential item in my car exterior care box. In the last decade I've noticed a huge variety of spray wax products flood the market. Some were very inexpensive and some very priced beyond my budget. I have on occasion splurged and purchased some of the “top of the line” spray wax products. Some of those most pricey ones did a fantastic job. This Rain-X Pro Graphene Spray Wax is absolutely as good if not better than the best that I've tried. I do not make that claim lightly. I'm a car guy that has had very satisfying long term relationships with different vehicles. Making them shine and last is very much a part of that. My previous Camaros would have benefited from this Rain-X Graphene Spray Wax. My current 2011 Camaro RS certainly took to this spray wax well. It stays covered most days only being driven a couple hundred miles a month. It's very important that it is clean and free of anything that might scratch the paint under the cover. Spray wax is one of the ways that I've managed doing that. When the paint is clean and this spray wax is used properly, it has a glass like appearance. I did a portion of my trunk lid to show that glass look. Once this is achieved, a clean terry cloth towel will dust off any particulates. Since I've started using this Rain-X Spray Wax I've done the entire top of my Camaro. It looks so good after each section I'm tempted to keep going. Being shiny isn't the only benefit though. One of the best things about this being a Graphene wax is that road spray from my tires is very easy to clean off of the waxed areas. My tire gloss will sometimes go on too wet and end up on the fenders. Even bug juice and tree pollen wipe off easily. This is very practical and beneficial spray wax that has made a fan out of me. I would definitely recommend this Rain-X Graphene Spray Wax to my friends and family.

nice product and works okay

PhilD March 26, 2022

This is a nice product and it seems to work okay, found best on a cold car rather than when its hot but it does what it say's on the bottle. Doesn't require as much buffing as the old school wax products want which is always a plus in my book. But I don't think it lasts as long as the original products, I think this is due to it being a thinner type of formula. But for ease its good and I like it.

Easy off no way

jd March 31, 2022

I washed and waxed (paste wax) my car in Sept. as usual. Having a wedding to drive in the first weekend of April 2022 and still cool out I decided to go to a do-it-yourself car wash. Not wanting to spend all day paste waxing the car. I decided to use this spray wax. Starting with the roof I thought I would never get it off and I followed the instructions to the T. It had streaks throughout. I did it over but sprayed a little on a soft cloth and applied it then removed. It looked better. I did the rest of the car that way. If I wanted to wax the car like you would with paste wax, I would not have paid 20 dollars for a bottle that only does one car. I can get my favorite paste wax for 10 dollars, and it does all three of my cars. Give it a try you might like it but use it on your older car first.

Wax is good. But a little more added steps

Jaeson March 11, 2022

I gave it a try twice so far and it's getting better but still more additional steps. If this was a wet and wax product, there wouldn't be a need to dry; then spray; then wipe; then wash down the windows again. I'm going to stick with my old tried and true method.

A little scary

MrPete50 March 22, 2022

I thought I'd try this Spray Wax on my new car to enhance the paint shine. I first washed the car and dried it off. I started with the front painted bumper cover. I shook up the bottle first then sprayed it on and spread it around with the included microfiber cloth. It seemed to dry very quickly. I buffed it off and didn't notice anything wrong. Then I sprayed the hood and again spread it around but when I tried to buff it out I couldn't get the streaks to come out. I thought I ruined the paint job on my new car. The hood was not hot the weather was overcast. I reapplied it and tried to get out the swirls marks. That didn't work. I finally took my wash sponge and poured the car wash cleaner directly on the sponge and scrubbed the hood really well and rinsed it off. That worked. To scary and too much work. I don't think I'll use this again.

Works ok

ss March 9, 2022

This spray wax works OK, but certainly nothing special. Some other brands of spray wax work better in my opinion, but it does work. Water beading will not survive the first wash even with just warm water. This wax would be OK for a quick clean up after driving to a car show or the like, but that is about it. It is easy to apply with the squirt bottle, and is easy to buff off.
